Hi Claire I don't know if you know this but @ 8:05 the cone behind you "near the green bottle" is open that means no rain for the next few hours , it will close up when its going to rain to protect the seeds inside .. it's like having an early warning weather station by your side lol

Ahh wow I didn't know they closed ahead of rain?! I have seen them close when they get wet though, nature is so fascinating isn't it 😍 I love those huge cones, I have a few dotted about my home that I've found over the summer, big as my hand some of them

Hilarious bug segment! Love that you were cracking yourself up!
I can't stop laughing at the kok shafter beetle! 😂

I grew up just a few miles from the Appalachian Trail in Georgia. I still go camping but not so much these days. I want to do a trail in UK. I was in Scotland a few months ago… loving your videos! The bug voice was perfect… Disney will be giving a you a call soon. Lol.
That was so funny Claire, it was lovely to see you laugh so much, keep up the amazing work you do.
Wow I never seen a woman who enjoys the out door life like you , most are worried about there nails and getting dirty , your amazing ❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯
Loved your giggle fit! I’m Welsh, living in Germany and we have cockchafers here, but I didn’t know the English name until now! They’re called May Beetles here (Maikäfer) and in harder times, people would catch them and make them into a soup. No wonder he’s angry…
that beetle was seriously mad!😂 sad you never caught the storm in your camo den❤️
The Force is strong with this one Claire.
That bug shares it’s name with the saddle on my mountain bike...
I have to admit that the reason why I first watched your videos is because you are drop dead gorgeous. As I watched more of your videos I came to realize you are much more than that. You are a breath of fresh air in this stagnant world. I hope you have nothing but success in your life.
I love the delightful INFP energy
She cracks me up!!!! Too cute!!!
That bug was trying to throw hands! 😂
OMG, your laugh is so genuine and adorable, even if it’s at the cockchafer’s expense. I have to save this video specifically for that short clip of you laughing. LOVE it! 💕 🐻
Let that be a warning to all male wild campers" beware the cockchafer !!" LOL.
Murphy's law applied to the bug: I fell outa' my tree,Only to find a fair maiden waiting for me,Nothing to chafe! Now I'm pissed,I gotta' climb back up that darned tree,Oh the Humanity! LOL! That was a cool stealthy go of it,Cheers!
Beauty isn't just the woods, it's also what goes into the woods... nice!
I always love your enthusiasm
What a giggle! I’m naming my next pet cockchafer i think.
Hi Claire!! Have you ever thought about doing a Q&A video? Nothing too personal, just some questions I'm sure a lot of us want to ask you.
Lovely, captivating, engaging, relatable, and too short.
Thanks Claire you made me laugh watching you laugh and watch out for those pesky red ants as they bite and you feel it.🫶
This was your must fun video so far. An odd and interesting fact for you Claire. Cockchafers of course feed on some crops. In the early 14thC, some of the beetles were brought to the Papal Court in Avignon and sentenced to withdraw within three days because of the damage they were doing. When they of course didn't comply, thousands were caught and executed. So, the one your met must have been reacting to this part of their family history.
Thank you Claire for this golden gem. Love it when mother nature comes calling like your little fighting beetle did. One of these days I need to travel to Wales. Not only to see my friend in Wrexham but to experience nature there.

I love the way you managed to translate the bug's language, to English, and had a microphone that would pick up the tiny voice. Your best work yet!
Another good one Claire. Do you mind sharing what insect repellent you favour please?
I've only just found your channel and I've been binge watching your videos. I go camping every summer but I really want to start wild camping! Loved how you cracked up about the Cockchafer bug! 😂
Used to camp a lot in Scotland years ago, just came across your videos, I know the feeling of being free in the wild, well done living the life, I keep saying ill get back to it one day but family life, having kids, hopefully one day 🎉 your videos bring back so many memories so thanks for that 🤩
I did a stealth camping in a roundabout one time 😄
At one with nature, you can't beat it 👍🏻
I am glad to see you using camo nets. They are great to stay unseen. 👍
First time seeing you, and Blow me down, I learned what a Cockschauffer is ! No wonder the bug is pissed. Thanks for the relaxing video, what a wonderful lady with a good sense of humour ! Cheers.
Severe storm warning, hail, lightening and tornado alerts for me while I’m watching this from Montreal. Started about 10 minutes before your video and ended at about the same time.
Good video, reminder folks, lots of Ticks around the south of England at the moment with some very nasty diseases, which you need to take precautions against if ground sleeping.
My tummy doesn’t feel like it’s full of knots when I’m watching your videos. So soothing and endearing 🙈 magical x
As an outdoor person myself I really enjoy your videos, unfortunately now that I have got to 70 years old it is becoming more difficult for me. Your videos bring back some happy memories from when I was younger and carefree. Times when I would carry just sleeping bag, unroll it on the ridgeway and sleep under the stars, memories that will be with me forever. Take care.
A laugh to desolve your heart, great vid Claire, I think Mr Cockchaffer had a headache after his tumble.
the best sound in the world, is rain on a tent, when your inside. great video yet again, I miss you when your not uploading, looking forward to your next video. xxx
I lost it at “demented walrus” 😂
Loved hearing the pheasant in the beginning of the video. AND how you make yourself into a pretzel when you’re getting comfortable.
A gorgeous out door lass who can put up a tent. Just my type lol. Good work. Catch and cook next
😃🤣😂😅 a chaffed what 😅😂😃🤣 thanks Claire I had to laugh ,lol 8:50 👍🇦🇺🇬🇧
Well brings a whole new meaning to life. As always Smiling 😊
Great watch quick tip try to avoid straight lines when using cam net's, no straight lines in nature. Xx
I could never stealth camp. I snore so loud that i would scare the bears away =D
That cockchafers/May Beetles was so cute and funny name :D
Haha. Nobody makes stealth camping as glamorous as you do! Cheers from USA! 😸
Tell that insect that Vaseline definitely helps😂
You have a beautiful laugh Claire, that, ahem, doodle bug was quite pretty too.
Bloody hilarious, a beetle with a temper 😂
I love the way that bugs name gave you the giggles . I can't wait to find a Cockchaffer so i can proudly tell everyone its name .
Pfft 28°c! That's adorable! It was 42° here last week. Haha

Clair.... You are the 1 girl on KZread that has the best sence of humor and the mist beautiful smile....... Keep em coming.... And enjoy yourself.
I've always called them Maybugs. They used to terrify me as a child as the would fall down our chimney. (Obviously they have a habit of falling!) Thanks for making Mr Doodlebug look cute - can see them in a whole new light now!
That beetle was like, "I have had it up to here!"

pissed you missed the storm! :( woke up in a hammock with a couple pals with limbs coming down around us during a storm in prep for a trip that lockdown cancelled. Loving your work
What a feisty little bug! Not sure I'd want to know how it came by its name and I agree, doodlebug is a much cuter and safe for all audiences name. ;-)
That camo net works very well.
great video, love the humour!
You're so beautiful and funny. I love your videos and your passion for life. God Bless you, Claire!!
Someone had a sense of humor when they name that bug, you just can`t help but laugh.😅
chafing can be a really uncomfortable problem - especially in the rain; no matter which part of the body it victimises 🤣🤣
I love your videos soo much really natural and honest Loved the bug lol 💜🏴
You videos give me peace One Love ❤️✌🏽
This is my favorite video so far. Loved how you ceacked up about the bug name. And the little sound effects! Good fun video.
"hello wild ones" just makes my day. Every. Single. Time.
It is not difficult to stay hidden from untrained eyes. Just follow discipline of light, movement and sound. Using neutral/natural colours or camouflage net increases stealth! Good job!
i love women like that who dont scream at every bug they see, know around the nature little bit and does not wear makeup that much or fake nails... unfortunatly you are very rare :)
Looked like the cosiest one yet 💯👌 Sweet ! 💚💙
Hi Claire, thanks for the laughs, and for taking us along on the stealthy adventure...... 🤓
What a beautiful infectious laugh
I am so envious....I live in Germany where there are loads of forests etc. but "wild" camping is strictly forbidden..The more I enjoy your videos, its a kind of compensation for me of the freedom I miss so much. Claire , you are a real breath of fresh air ...just love your videos.. and you are such a cool babe..just stay as authentic as you are ...Love the bug bit😅

I think wild camping is not allowed in most of GB, Mark., which is why Claire has to be stealthy. The funny thing is, I feel like I have more freedom to roam in Germany, because of the rights we have to cross farmland here. But I absolutely agree with you about the lack of freedom for camping.
