Solo Moto Camp - Great Basin Loop (450 Miles) - Part Two/ West Side

Ойын-сауық

This Video Is Part Two
Welcome to the Great Basin Desert!
This area stretches over most of the state of Nevada and into Western Utah. And inside this swath of desert is Great Basin National Park, coming up out of the low desert to heights of over 10,000ft. Stunning landscapes!
So I wanted to try a different route heading North from St George, Utah up to Great Basin NP. This route would be mostly on the dirt (on the first day) and would allow me to circumnavigate the National Park creating a 450 mile loop.
Part One consists of the 200 mile ride and camp on the East Side of the Range.
Part Two of the ride is the 250 mile stretch on the West Side of the Range.
So please join me as I head North into the Great Basin Desert to explore this incredible area!

Nice part 2, bit more tarmac then you normally do. Great loop. Great Basin is really underrated and not a lot of visitors.

Hey bud, I got a crf300L and your video just reminded of exactly the kind of terrain it does really well on (stock). I got a ktm 500 for gnarly trails and single/hill climbs - but for the stuff you are doing in the video, I'd prefer the honda for sure.

I really like how the Google Earth App makes it possible to get aerial footage for videos like this. Looks like a few others had a similar overlanding idea through the area. I like the small town you got gas in. I don't remember the name but the cars and trucks are fairly new and the town is clean and not run down like so many small towns in rural America these days. I wonder if there's much for employment there or if it's mainly a place for vacation/getaway homes and retired folks. Maybe some remote workers.

Well, I got gas in both Baker and Pioche, Nevada. Both those small towns were pretty cool.

Cool video, thank you. would it be fair to say looks like this trip could of been made on your KLR with no problems, terrain wise?
