Mark Twain said "The most important day in a person's life, is the day they are born, and the day they figure out why". I'm fairly certain that you sir, have the "why" part sorted. Thank you for inspiring us, and for all of the hard work. It means more than you'll ever know. If you listen closely, you'll hear the sound of 76,000 people standing up and slow clapping for you right now. Well done my friend, well done.

Thank you for being such a compelling advocate for hunting and conservation as well as for portraying the connections we feel with wilderness environments so eloquently. I believe that the values you are representing are vitally important for our future. Brendon

Tim - If I watch this 1000 times, it won't be enough. I will share this with anyone and everyone I can. I don't think I've ever heard a hunter speak so eloquently and hopefully reach as many people as you have with this single video. You are an inspirational man and I hope everyone who has seen this will be inspired to do more for hunters, the wild life and generally be a better person. I know I will. Thank you is not nearly enough but it's all I can say.

Tim, well Sir, you have done us all proud with this one! This sort of film is worthy of entry into (and winning) an international film festival. The way in which you peeled back the many layers to why we hunt was delivered so well through your cinematography narration and music. I must admit I got choked up at "exceptional father and marginal husband"; that pretty much sums me up to brother. Anyway, well done mate, love your work - blessings from Australia

To Tim, Remi and the rest of you Solo HNTR crew, you guys really stepped it up on this one and I love the message I’m hearing Tim. That balance is a struggle to find sometimes, and it’s often no more that walking a tightrope, but it’s nice when the balance is there. I’m inspired to work towards mine. Cool thoughts on all things wild.

Well said my man..! I’ve been a camera man and hunter in Africa most of my life and had many a conversation about the why and how can you..! Trying to explain that if it were not for the hunting there would be so few wild places left in tact.. Hope to get back out there, to the wild places with my bow soon. Enjoy and have the best day ever out there..!

I hear you. Don't have the chance to do what you do. However, the best memories are being miserable in the back ass of no where. For me I need a big wet waggy tailed lab to make it memorable. As much as I love being alone, quiet and following a big track; a happy dog on a bird track is the real deal. I look forward to deer season for freezer filler but live to watch a dog work. Bad or good I just enjoy being miles away from anyone and seeing a tail wag and nose to the ground.

14:59 First and foremost love your show Tim.....but i will have to disagree in regards to "hunting is not a right...its a privilege"....2nd Amendment is a GOD given right!...but providing for one's family and himself with GOD given food is not?(remember that GOD didn't create animals for our viewing pleasure....but for the sustainability of mankind) ...seems a little hypocritical don't you think? especially when as a hunter i contribute more than any liberal or tree hugging hippie or any government entity to the cause....again Tim I'm not here to start any conflicts, just initiating a healthy and honest dialogue.....keep the vids coming!!!!...thumbs up always!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Thank you! I do believe that hunting is a God given right. However unlike the 2nd amendment, "hunting" is not "written" into our law or constitution as a right. At least not as far as my knowledge. I wish it was! Therefore as far as the general law of the land is concerned I am referencing hunting as not a right but a privilege afforded to us by the general public acceptance. I am no lawyer but I don't think hunting has the same luxury as 2nd amendment to have the constitution at our defense. But Im a simple man. I appreciate your commentary and advise. Best to you and yours!

@@solohntr in Idaho we have amended our state constitution to protect the right of citizens to hunt and fish. I believe other states have done similar. I agree that our rights come from God, and the government can only protect them . Great work, huge fan here

At one point in time you may have been a right about hunting being a right but unfortunately that is a thing of the past. Too many people and irresponsible behavior equals the necessity of government regulation. I’d also disagree with you on your contribution to wildlife unless you’re personally managing the 610 million acres of public land in the US alone. I agree we as hunters contribute more than most but that sort of talk just doesn’t make sense. Finally, if god made wildlife where does that leave those people that don’t subscribe to your particular religion? I like the conversation and don’t mean to create an argument. Just a dialogue.

Again great video but... The bill of rights isn't all inclusive. It doesn't state that you have the right to access water yet I doubt you'd deny that as a right. Anyway not trying to nit pick or snipe you but I just believe these are really important details. I'm trying to learn more about hunting but maybe we can learn something from each other.

The anti hunters and outdoorsmen have forgotten that we, humans, are a product of nature. We belong in the forests and jungles just as much as any other living, breathing creature. We just need to be mindful of not ruining it as we go.
