Eight years ago, I was a foreign student in Oman and was luckily able to watch him live. Also that's when I met with the hang drum. I even have a pretty bad quality video of his performance. It's been eight years and I still come here and watch him from time to time. I wish you all the best Daniel :) thank you for your music 🎶

Exactly one year ago I saw this video for the first time and was completely overwhelmed, I had found my instrument, the sound that truly calls out to my soul. Today I own a Manastone, Sunpan and Early on this year I flew to Switzerland to visit PANArt and acquired a Gubal. I play and share my experience with these instruments everyday and I'm now looking into sound from a healing perspective and considering studying to become a soundthreapist. My Life has completely changed since that day, exactly one year ago on my birthday, browsing KZread and happened to come by your video. Thank you Daniel Waples. Namaste.

One of my all time favorites. This video has only 11 million views. I’m sure hundred years from now those billion view videos will fade away, but this one will remain as a great milestone of human achievement in musical talent and ingenuity. A masterpiece doesn’t get immediate recognition but it can withstand the blow of time, only time will prove that. Thanks from my heart to the creator and performer of this masterpiece.

it's not talent. it's passion and dedication. find your passion and you will enjoy life like he does. How? Listen to your heart. Listen to nature. Just listen and observe. Try and fail. and try again. Listen to yourself, get away from everything that makes you feel bad. but before you do that, find why it makes you feel the way it does. Learn. Teach. Love. :)

I have no idea though who they were and idiot me was to shy to ask if they have a CD or youtube channel or something. Together with some money I gave them a sketch of them playing I made while sitting nearby and then I left. I truly wish I could go back in time to record it or ask them..

Thought this guy looked familiar.. Then I realized I have a photo on my computer from 2010 of him playing on Portobello. I thought what he was doing was awesome so I took a photo and somehow, 5 years later, I ended up here, watching this video. Life is crazy.

8 years already? I remember when these videos where comming out. The hang drum community was still very small and I remember this video and the hang massive video were popping up everywhere. Now the hang drum is pretty well known, and I really think its because of you guys for really getting the instruments name out there. Also, the high five at the end always gives me chills.

I remember watching this many years ago, in the music class of grade 5, and just thinking, man this is so cool! I never picked up an instrument beside piano, but hearing this fills me with so much nostalgia, and takes me back to such a nicer time. Thank you for sharing this all that time ago

Significantly better.the hardest part is learning to strike it properly. If you can do that and hold a tempo, it’s very intuitive. Check out Rav Vast drums. Price point is much more reasonable and I love the instrument.

That is a talent in multi-tasking doing rhythm and then playing your hand drum separately. Reminds me of tapping out rhythms in music class: one hand did a beat count and the other hand did the timing in the melody. I want a hand pan now because of your talent!!!! Keep playing!!! Love from Canada.

What pours out of you comes from God and I hope you are happy and feel blessed for the joy your gift gives to the world. How you can play an instrument in one hand and another instrument in another is just a pure unnatural gift from above. Awesome!
