Solo Bushcraft and Wild Camping - Fishing - Catch and Cook - Traditional Woodsman Meal
Out with the canoe for some bushcraft and camping. So that was a surprise. Glad I had the sleeping bag to myself.
The bucksaw tensioning system tweak was something I made up back in 2019. I almost forgot how good it works. It makes the sawing so much more stable despite it can be built faster with a more simple construction. It's also possible to set it up for deeper saw depth without messing with its structural integrity.
If you combine simplicity, practicality and deliciousness there is a winner on this planet. Kolbulle. I love it and you just have to try it. The twigs I put in the fish are juniper twigs. A way to cook perch up in northern Sweden called "halstrad abborre". I learned this as a teenager from an old fisherman in the archipelago outside Örnsköldsvik. And of course he used butter and an insane amount of salt lol. I used olive oil because its more practical for hiking. Thanks for watching!

This video is going to be remembered. Recently I am getting a divorce with my wife/soulamte and seeing the symbolism of being alone and independent got me a lot. I need to startvheading out there and feel more connected to nature. Thank you Swedwoods for this video. It's a blessing!

@SiDFilTh I practically said the same thing yesterday. I don't care for channels that don't speak, and I have not subscribed to even one of them. Then I discovered this guy and basically said the same thing you did, but he was cooking a tomahawk steak, so I decided to watch until the end. Then I watched another one of his videos and another and another and ended up subscribing. It's weird, but it's worth it. I really enjoy his content
To be able to enjoy fishing in a kayak and quiet camping together... It's my dream 😊👍

It is interesting to see different ways of doing the same thing. When we roasted ear corn on coals, we began by selecting less mature, but fully-formed ears and we left the green husk on. We soaked the ears for a while in fresh water. Finally, the ears were steam-roasted until 'done.'
The fall is great for wild camping. Pleasant temperatures to work in, and no mosquitos!
Another piece of art. You have improved your video craft once again. Thank you for this adventure.

Thankyou so much for making these videos. You, Nagualero and Erik Normark inspired me to get all my favourite camping gear together and take it all the way from Australia (Melbourne) to Muddus National Park in the north of Sweden. I am currently 15 hours worth of Norrtåg trains into the trip from Gothenburg as I write this comment. I am tired, but I will press on from Gällivare at sunrise tomorrow morning with my 72hrs worth of food supplies... You have undoubtedly inspired far more people to explore nature and their own capabilities and limits than just me...

It's incredible. I've never said that but your youtube channel was crucial for me during the covid pandemic because it was impossible for me to sleep well. Furthermore I had tinnitus. It was a nightmare. All nights I tried to get the much needed sleep and it was possible because of you. Thank you.

I went through that tinnitus thing 15 years ago. It gets better. Still have the sound in my head but I don't care about it anymore. Today the sound means silence for me. If it would disappear the silence would probably stress the hell out of me 😆. Thanks!

@@Swedwoods Your videos gives me a cozy feeling and your meals in the wilderness are epic. You (and the lockdowns) have helped me to retrieve the love for nature that I've lost years ago. I went to a physiotherapist and he could decrease the volume of the noise a lot. It was in september 2020. Since then I'm much better. Keep up the good work. You know that you are doing much good!
