Solo Building our 20' Geodome Home Studio - DAY 1 (I've Never Done This!)
The manufacturer suggests a team to build this dome, yet I am curious and stubborn. I rarely ask for help, and I am a lone wolf. Embarking on a quest for an innovative and "cost-effective" (still expensive as Ill get out) residential space on our land, we chose to erect a 11' high, 20-foot wide Geodesic Dome Home Studio. This journey commenced with the construction of a robust treated lumber 15-point deck, meticulously engineered to support the dome amidst our county’s rigorous building regulations. I already had this built before the video started. Overcoming a labyrinth of bureaucratic challenges, I secured the necessary permits through sheer resilience. The adventure intensified with the assembly of a unique dome kit, a task unlike any I had faced before. I have triumphantly completed about 69% of the skeleton framing, yet the quest continues as I still need to install a pre-hung door, install windows and finalize the structure before the skin, insulation layers and flooring can be put into place. For the frame - each numbered bar must be placed with precision, as a single misstep could jeopardize the integrity of the dome. Correcting any deviations along the way, I pressed on, working tirelessly until late afternoon. Conventional wisdom suggests such feats require a team, but I've proven that determination can defy the odds. This endeavor is a testament that if I can achieve this, so can anyone poised to challenge the status quo

That's going to be amazing. One of those places to sit and chill. No internet, no phones, back to the stone age. Looking forward to the rest of the farm series
Looks awesome, but Gem should have come out and yelled "Shut Er Down" at supper time!
