    I love Tour bite.. It's my go to string. Currently I am testing all kind of different hybrids of Tour bite with other strings. I have my Clash fitted currently with tour bite 1.20 23kg in the mains and luxilon adrenaline 1.25 21kg in the crosses. Played with it today and i like the combination. Somehow the round more sleek cross string (lux adrenaline) at a lower tension gives the tour bite more ability to slide and snap back. It feels like this combo increases the sweet spot. Have to test it more and longer. Also have a setup with Head sonic pro in the crosses. I think a full bed of tour bite, the strings friction against each other it too much so that the strings cut into each other more and faster. But that is the theory.. What for sure I will continue doing is stringing the crosses 2 to 3 kg lower than the mains. That feels so much better on a full bed of poly.

  • @EvokeTennis

    @EvokeTennis

    4 жыл бұрын

    Larz B very good info thank you for sharing your tips with everyone here. I probably should be stringing my crosses lower on a full bed - I don’t want any more launch angle than needed but will have to try it again soon. Can totally see how a round cross could help things keep sliding with less locking initially. I’ll be referring back to your comment for good info thank you

  • @LarzB

    @LarzB

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@EvokeTennis the lower tension on the crosses also makes the bed feel a little bit more plush with the tour bite while i don't feel a difference in control or launch angle, but that's hard to say if you don't play them side to side. Softness of the string bed is easier to spot.

    For the last 5+ years I have been playing with AI98 (I also have DR98 but I have never felt the connection as with AI). The best experience was with the poly tour pro 1.20mm yellow. After that I finish the reel of Hyper-g, Poly Tour Pro (black) 1.25 and I'm currently finishing the reel of Tour Bite... I like Tour Bite, but nothing like that Poly Tour Pro 1.20mm which lasts twice as short as everything I tried but is much softer, much better control and feel, and also amazing on the slice... Do you have any more WOW option for this racket? Thanks! Do you play one-handed or two-handed? There's always a shot when you do a slice :)

  • @EvokeTennis

    @EvokeTennis

    3 жыл бұрын

    I agree on the Poly Tour Pro there is nothing like it but it fades quick and doesn't last long! Which is fine for me because I love restringing often. And yes it great for the slice like you mentioned the shaped strings bite the slice almost too much! Just tried Cyclone 18 in this racket and loved it for the control. Maybe the Cyclone Tour would be more comparable in comfort to the others though because regular cyclone was pretty stiff feeling in general.

    TB is definitely the base line for all polys to be judged against. You can't beat price and performance. I will say the most underrated in the solinco line-up is the Revolution. I think it sits nicely between TB and Hyper-G. Plus it lasts a bit longer than the other Solincos.

    Great video as always. Probably should have some standard categories to consistently compare strings. Kinda like TW: power, spin, comfort, tension maintenance/playability, control, durability. Also, as a fellow string/gear junkie, you need to cover the holy grails and OGs: Alu Power, Big Banger Original, RPM Blast, Volkl Cyclone, etc. I've personally gone down this path. I've even taken the extra step and done different gauges for all of the aforementioned. From as thin as 1.20mm (18g) to 1.35mm (15g). I used to think spin and comfort were most important but now I'm 100% focused on tension maintenance/playability. What good is ALU Power or Hyper G if its amazing for 4-5 hours (2 sessions) then dead or trampoline with little comfort for the remainder of the time? Especially with my non-string breaking frame (95 sq. inches with 16x20 pattern), it's not going to feel or play well for another 8-12 sessions. Anyways, now I'm in love with a smaller string company called GrappleSnake. They have a pre-stretched poly that ticks all the boxes and has the best playability from the moment its strung to when it finally snaps. Maybe it's just a pre-stretch thing and I should try Kirshbaum. Holy shit this turned into an essay. Anyways.. Just unsolicited opinions that you might already have thought of, I was always hoping tennis nerd went down this road but he's niche is rackets. Good stuff and keep it coming.

    Cisco first off thank you for the real talk - I need to know what the players want. I approached this video review slightly different than past ones that focused more on performance metrics. Tour Bite has been around for a long time and there are plenty of good reviews on it - do we really need another one? So this was more of a look back at the string and provide comparisons to others I've reviewed. More of an experiential feel was the idea. You bring up some super good points about TW and TN. But it also brings the dilemma of doing the same thing they are doing. I want Vacation to have videos that completely stand apart from what others are doing, while still providing an awesome experience for the players. Would love to talk more with you cause it sounds like you know what's up with some strings. Email me or dm would love to interview you on some string talk. Thanks brotha

If you are looking to deliver just as is and not caring about an over all quality, then it is what is is, the viewership will adapt or let it pass and not watch it (Please understand it, there are a lot of youtubers and more coming out with reviews and mainly everything on point). If what you are looking for is to prosper, then my honest advise is: don't upload your product till is fine and done, you need to jump into that set of mind. Your last 2 or 3 videos came out a bit sloppy. Your work will speak better for it self. (What's the software you are using to edit? Premiere, Final cut, Davinci, Avid?).... You mentioned on your comments, after thanking all of us subscribers, whoever we are!.... Think of this, you never know who is really watching your content. Just saying. Better your Audio Levels and be more selective for your message/scripts. Keep it coming, good work!

    Pauline Santoni what about the levels don’t you like? Is the dialogue too soft and the music too hard? From what I understand dialogue should peak around minus 6db. I am trying to hide some of the bad dialogue/room acoustics in post which has a muting effect. To answer you, I’m simply just still in the beginning stages of making videos and only now starting to pay more attention to the audio. Creating content like this is a balance of perfection and time spent, and at some point you have to get it out even if not perfect. Why? Because it’s all part of the process and it’s good feedback like yours that will get me to the next level. So THANK YOU and back to the drawing board for the next video! Always improve 👊🙌

    @@EvokeTennis Great response, understood. I meant this: Your Speech volume level is the most important value for you in post, but it all begins with your audio set up prior recording. You are using your voice to send out the message, don't let the music volume or any other sound surpass the volume for your voice. Example: When speaking, maintain in post the volume through the entire clip) the music in the back ground while you speak, keep it down, (it is background music) then, when you finish talking and cut to, or transition to a take, per say, when you are playing or something else, then rise the volume, but never surpassing the volume that you set for your voice. Don't overlap loud music when you are speaking, it is hard to hear. Your message looses value, it takes away a bit overall, meaning decent, but not great or on point! :). Shoot, edit, create, and think of your self for the long run, not for a day by day, video by video. Think of this, before you are gone, this is part of your digital legacy and now, you are building the foundation of it. You decide how strong your foundation will be, a weak one or solid one. Are you building a house? or a building? this might help, but also check part 1 and 2 kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zqt3pZmAmqS0hps.html Don't mind me, I just wanted to help. I work for a producer that happens to enjoy your videos, we all play tennis, but cinematographic production is our field. Stay well Robert!

    @@paulinesantoni612 Thank you the video helped. I usually just try to fix everything in post - like I use high pass eq and compression, but I also use a $25 mic and don't check the line level before recording, so that will help next time. For music I duck to the dialogue and use a simple parametric eq on the music to carve out a space for my voice, but still need work here. I believe music is one of the most, if not the most important things, and is an extremely powerful voice in driving the emotion of the video. I get carried away here. Right now I'm ok with making mistakes because I'm just building sandcastles right now. Haven't even scratched the surface yet in the world of video creation. Please don't take it easy on me and really value the technical feedback to improve - I didn't know anyone was watching that stuff! Thanks again
