SOLIDWORKS Simulation - Frequency Analysis

Ғылым және технология

The frequency study in SOLIDWORKS Simulation is an easy way to check products for potential vibration issues down the road. See how to run an analysis on this pullet motor mount to check not just stress in the bracket, but if there are problematic resonant frequencies that need to be corrected.

Stumbled across this video and noticed that the model being used in the example was one of my designs. Pretty cool.

Good day to Hawk Ridge Systems, may I know when checking the effect of model weight on the support, what is the purpose of setting up "Remote Load" under "External Loads" for this situation? Thank you Hawk Ridge Systems ~~

Hi I was using solid works for frequency analysis, a cylindrical beam with area 78.5 sq mm and length 200mm fixed at one end. the results show two close natural frequencies, I am pretty sure that it is not true because the same model in matlab is yielding no close results. They are quite distinct Frequency(Hertz) in solid works in matlab 182.76 182.5 182.78 1135 1135.8 3139 1135.9 3139 3139.4 how should I understand the results from solid works? can any one please explain.

hello there, if the motor vibrates at 100 hertz why did you modify the design so it doesn't have frequency below 100?, what if the first natural frequency is 50 hertz, isn't that far enough from the frequency of the motor? how far should the load frequency be from the first natural frequncies? i'm struggling with that, hope someone can asnwer

I guess it deppends on the case, On this particular one the natural frequency of the structure has to be greater than the 100Hz frequency of the motor, because in this way you guarantee that both the natural (structure) and forced (engine) frequencies are different at all times, preventing thus the vibrating resonance. If you design below the 100Hz resonance might occur when the engine revs up or down from starting or stoping conditions.

If interference occurs in the assembly part. How to solve it?

You need to change your design.
