Beautiful restoration. Looks so elegant and classy.

Is the finish one I would have chosen? No. Does that make his choice wrong? No. Still a beautiful table. Still a lot of work well executed. Still a piece saved from the landfill. Kudos.

Lovely little table, shame it was finished in such a dark colour, I know you probably have to do what the owners want but I loved the lighter colour.

I think your work is so fun to watch and you do an excellent job. To appeal to a more updated look, the finish would look beautiful with a brown tone or medium walnut stain with a satin or almost flat sealer. Just a little suggestion, not to be critical. 100% agree sprayed finish on a piece like that. It’s criminal oil finish oil stain would’ve been much better.

I love it! The black is gorgeous and the grain can be seen through. I'm sure natural would have been great, but this is a beauty in my opinion!😊

Agree. Trendy. Will look dated in a couple of years. Natural wood finish is timeless.

I Don't Care For A Dark Finish. I Like A Clear Finish Cause When I Use That Bullseye Shelack The Woodgrain Just Jumps Out At You. Cause I Use That On All My Walking Canes. & They Look Beautiful.😅

That was a rough one - I feel sorry for the old table! Go and have a look at the wonderful restoration work of Thomas Johnson from Maine, US. There you can learn a lot!
