** SOLID RUBBER TIRES ** - Is This The Future Of Bmx?
Ойын-сауық
Today I got a package from Tannus armour and these airless tires I special requested for a fun video to get people talking about what the future of bmx could be. These airless tires are not made to ride bmx and do tricks on, but they prove to be on the right path to make something that could be the future. Check back for more videos daily!

Thats actually a good idea but the rim lock needs a little work, Definitely needs to be in bigger sizes.... Maybe a contact glue to really lock it to the rim or an actual clip that would lock around the rim, Then it might be able to withstand the drops and spins in BMX riding. 😁
They tried this on road bikes. It didn't end well. They slipped off the rim when hot causing massive crashes.
Mike: That’s a big word for you matt Matt: what, cold?
I've ran solid rubber back in the day! Got tired going around town getting flats 24/7. They get heavy and not forgiving on any drop. Suprising they still make them besides road bikes

Tannus tires are actually much lighter than the yellow inserts they used to sell at walmart
Pizza cutters. I used to run a solid bib mousse type insert in the rear for a while in the mid 90’s. It was extremely heavy and my tire always felt like it was low on psi. Total PIA to get on, had to use dish soap and like 20 screwdrivers. Once on, it didn’t come off either. No flats or blow outs though lol.
This should be how to make your newschool bmx as heavy as a midschool bmx

That's what I thought before I ordered them, but they're actually super light weight... A set of tannus tires isn't super heavy like those yellow inserts they used to sell at Walmart... They're seriously not much difference from a regular set of tires and tubes... I was suprised how light they were when they arrived. Buy a set and see for yourself
The cringe when he put the rim down then scraped it while he showed the z coaster uhhg :/

And sprayed jet fuel ya really killin me boys
I got the Tannus tyre armour / inserts back in Dec. They're really good - you run them with tubes (work up to 2.5" tyres for 20" wheels). Not had any punctures, riding a few times a week on local street stuff. Everywhere round me seems to be flooded with broken glass (London, UK). I'm not doing anything particularly serious though, so not sure yet how they hold up to pinch flats, but in theory they will give a good bit of protection and don't suffer the "burping" problem that you get running tubeless at low pressure on MTB tyres. Cheers for the vid!
A tire made of chain. You could Weld the links together to get them to stay on and keep the chain from flopping around. You can twist the chain so it could work for dirt or snow maybe.
Haven't watched already know it's gonna be a great vid keep up the work fede!!💯
I bought a set of tannus tires a while back for my motorized bicycle. Airless is the way to go! Flat tires suck! But I will say that one time, I hit a small cement curb and it literally bent my rim because the tires really don't give... Since there's no air, the tire doesn't just absorb the impact
I actually run Tannus Armour inserts, and they work amazing. These airless tires are for race bmx, by the way. Love the vid!
Hot glue the tires to the rims! Then you can take the tires off easy with a heat gun at lower temps
Since y’all hate that free coaster hub so much might as well give it to me I don’t have $400 for that hub that you don’t like
What’s the width of your original tires I don’t know if these will fit my bmx they have 2.5 tyres stock
Respect for painting over jet feul
The way Matt hops into grinds aggravates me Fix ur form
These tires would be great for bike's like your cruiser bike's like the 26" & 29" bike's if they were at least a 2.3 and 90psi i wouldn't mine putting a set on my 29er but i wouldn't put them on my park bike
I was only on about bib mouses for bmxs the other day after watching an S&M clip of about 20 blowouts after landing big tricks
Shout out from GTA, The one in central america. Wow i didn't know that there was such a thing, very interesting. It seems like the impact from a high drop, would be torture on the joints though. Hey mike how about a video on twist tie spokes?
Those are sick but they add weight to the bike I bet is what some people would have an issue with
im about to put a solid wheelcair tire on my bike.
I always wanted a tubeless BMX tyre and wheel design just like a car MTB do that now why not BMX 😒 but I like the load rating on the solids i remember as a child solid foam tyres never seen them type interested in tyres car bike truck ect
I had solid rubber tires back in the 80s......all fun and games until you skid a few times......thump, thump afterwards from the instant flat spots.
Try some 1.75s on your bmx
what hub was that?
So much for that future investment
They could also last for years
Its crazy how you keep finding new things to test out, this was pretty interesting.... have you ever tried putting a tire on with no tube and then use expanding spray foam?
Where did you get the skylark rim that you could put brakes on ?
I just subscribed specifically because I love seeing the newest technology and just recently you've introduced me to the carbon rim and now the hard rubber tire....aces

Farting tires combined with a 7pawls backhub is the future, i will test them when they can be 100psi and 2,10"
I run 75 PSI on street, trail & park, what hell did you get 35-40 PSI from for street???
I hate changing flats 🥲
Tune in for next video. We remove cranks and weld in a straight bar. No more peddling

Jet fuel sucks lol 😝 love you!!
I think bmx could do this too.
It seems like you don't get to keep the speed on those, visually seems really hard to gain speed pedaling

I remember back in the day. Like 20 to 25 years ago Walmart had solid rubber tubes. They weighed a ton can’t remember the company that made them. If I had to guess I’d say Bell but I’m not sure who the manufacturer was. The good. It was nice not having to worry about getting flats. The bad. Was the fact they weighed so much. You’d be wore out by the time you peddled to the end of the street.

Yea I had a set in the early 90s on my BMX because my dad was sick of changing tubes every week
Sounds like they would be heavy??

They look like 1.65s not 1.95 double check.
Taps wrist, mike: damn what are u a soccer player lmfao
How it feel if use this solid tire
I run my tires at 70 psi
