Thank you so much for taking the time to put this video together. Great show and tell!
Excellent video Martin. It was really knowledgeable. Keep up the good work :)
Mr. Freye, thanks for your sharing of experience. Each time I watched video, that always fresh mind and helpful in this field, even though they are all basic information.
thanks for taking the time to post this video!

Thanks Martin
Thank you so much
Thank you :)
really nice video...thanks mister....
NIce video. Thank you.
thank you martin
Thanks, was very helpful =)
Nice video. But, I believe your explanation at the end is reversed. The electric solenoid opens to let the pressure out. That's the output side you are pointing to not the input side. The small hole in the rubber lets the pressure in and because the total surface area that the fluid pushes on is greater on the back side than on the front side the closing force is greater than the opening force caused by the fluid entering (pressure times area = force). That's why the valve only works if the pressure is greater on the inlet side than on the outlet side. The valve looks very well built. If my refrigerator ice maker had one that well built I would not be looking at videos to see what could be wrong with it. Thanks for the video it was very helpful.
Sulman, they do not require a maintenance program. Spare parts are available, seals and coils but although wise to keep spares, it's probably better to keep a spare valve 'In case'
Martin Many thanks, that is very helpful. I am trying to fix my dishwasher which has a faulty solenoid inlet water valve. Don puttock
ingenious
Hello Martin, nice demo, how's Mike, regards Barry your friendly vat inspector
Great
good process system
Hi Martin, A good explanation. Which of the two holes is called as the orifice? In my set-up, downstream of the solenoid valve is a small reactor holding max.5 mg of catalyst. It has to be ensured that the volume between the valve and the reactor is kept to a minimum. Suppose i increase the orifice size by 0.4 mm then will this volume increase and if so by how much? Thanks, Anu
Do they require maintenance program? Do they require part changes ? & how frequent that should be ?
Hi, i plan on installing a few EVs in my house, however i'm a bit puzzled. I noticed that in the spec. sheet tables provided by the manufacturer it says that when providing DC power to the coil the nominal max. pressure values will be x% (e.g. 60%) less than stated in the table. Can you explain why that is? Does the coil type affect performance? Thanks.
8:12 "The pressure going in here..." Is there a mistake? I though it should go in from the left side?
VERY well explained good sir. Thank you. You have enlightened me today :)
P0660 OBD Code (with illumination of MIL "Malfunctioning Indicating Lamp") reveals ERROR in solenoids and their valves. My car is 2009 Chevrolet Epica LS
I like you.
what is the right Solenoid Valve for Air pressure at max 20 PSI? Air goes In Only, So in another I am Pressuring an Air Tank I want the air goes In only, so when the tank is at 20 PSI I don't want air coming back through the Solenoid, Thank you sir.
ok, now i get it.
Hi, Can a faulty Pressure Control Valve, of a diesel car's fuel injection pump, cause hard starts in the mornings ? You see, I've checked almost everything else (battery, starter, glow plugs, EGR, MAF, etc., etc.) and all working well. The hard starts only happens in the morning, I dont get hard starts throughout the day, not in between trips, not even between short trips. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance !

Sid Coronel I don't have an answer for you. You should ask an automotive engineer. Sorry I can't be more help.
@verdecapo haha....I guess they dont have the word "faucet" is in the UK
how much would those things cost?
Hello Martin, I'm Mike in Colorado and I have some issues. I'm lucky enough to be part of a big medical grow facility and we use 1.5 HP pumps to water 280-320 plants multiple times per day. Our 800 gallon tanks set on the ground and our irrigation lines run in a trench about a foot under the ground. The problem that we are having is after the pump finishes a water cycle and shuts off, the water pressure is too much for our cheap PVC check valves and on one occasion, almost emptied the whole tank in one feeding. Due to this issue, we can only fill and mix 450 gallons at a time without gravity feeding. I'm hoping these solenoid valves could be the answer. Can they be wired to the pump so that the valve only opens when the pump turns on, and closes when pump is off? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Mike, I'll have a think and Mail again tomorrow. Martin
hi sir shako product available in India?
how mush if its imported to egypt ? water and air
I have a Solenoid valve that operates external to a Gas safety valve,(it pushes the gas valve open) I noticed it was sticking from time to time (stopping the initial start of gas flow), So cleaned the piston and added a small amount of grease to the shaft, it now works OK. My question is what does anyone think about adding a lubricant to the solenoid?, or does anyone think it would be best to replace the solenoid for a new one? any views would be appreciated

Bake been . You should be ok. There may have been a blockage temporally in the tube. You can phone Mike on 080088099 "Connexion Developments Ltd" or email mike@solenoid-valves.com and he will advise.

Thank you Martin for you quick reply and your advice, I think I'll see how it goes, with the added safety that if it does not work, then no gas flows The gas valve is sound and the system also cuts the flow of Electricity to the solenoid (if not engaged within a few seconds) there is also no electrical damage that I could see during cleaning and inspection Thanks again martin

Yes it is, ask the Company Connexion Developments Ltd
solenoid valve...not solenoid. Solenoid is used to relate electrical domain to magnetic domain, which is then related to the physical domain. In other words, the magnetic field generated by the solenoid (with current passing through it) acts on the piston which is directly connected to the diaphragm which acts to control the flow of media through the passage way. This all makes up the solenoid valve.
we are solenoid/solenoid valve manufacturer in south China named Dongguan Boshun
Can it handle 1500 litres per day ?
My cool died. Do you sell replacement coils

I had mine on for about 2hrs and it died. Same exact inside guts but cheap larger coil. The first one you showed. If you sell just the coil I'll hold onto the one I have as I just ordered a motorized ball valve for water mains so I can shut it off remote if I need to
@martinfreye

Quick answer is probably yes but contact the Company with details of your valve and coil so they can confirm if it is possible to replace it.

How much
always use a hard t whenever discussing anything technical :P
Hello Anu, thank you for your interesting question. I am not sure that I understand what you mean. The orifice is the large Hole in the centre of the valve covered by the diaphragm which lifts to allow the passage of the media. You cannot enlarge this orifice. If you live in the UK you can ask our experts on 08008087799 or see our website with your question, I am sure they can help you. Please feel free to email me if you need more martinfreye at gmail.com
Hello again Mike, I've looked at your challenge. I think that a 'Direct' solenoid valve would be helpful, such as the PU220 series, the PU225 series needs a half bar differential to work, although your pump may supply this. The difficulty may lie in the return, if there is a chance of water returning to the tank, it would probably pass backwards through the valve. The valve would operate ok forwards from your tank to the plants. They only need wiring into the pump electric supply as they would then only open when needed. Best to enquirer from Mike at mike@solenoid-valves.com as he is the main man and I am retired now, being very old. Tell him I sent you and suggested the Pu220 series in whatever pipe size you need. See the video, the PU220 series has the coil central, not offset. Hope this helps, you can telephone if you like +44 1454334990 . All the best from England, Martin
Hello, price depends on valve, please contact www.solenoid-valves.com for price
i think it's a poppet not spool. Spool is better
Best to ask the supplier, freephone 0800 808 7799 speak to anyone, Mike is the bossman
Thanks Don, I think you'll need the plastic 2/2 230vac valve from Connexion Developments Ltd. Ring free on 0800 808 7799 and speak to Mike or Matt. You can mention me if you like. The "115BC" Valve will probably suit. you can see it at solenoidvalvesuk dotcom under "Plastic valves" LH Side.Keep safe. M
