As an Airman, I find this astonishing. We in the Air Force usually have to volunteer to deploy (depending on your occupation.) Its pretty much just a vacation to rack in all that deployment pay in our 5-star hotels.

During my Army service I just got really quiet when I found out I was deploying to the Middle East. There was no getting out of it. On the other hand, I knew of several women who just got pregnant to stop from leaving. Shits funny.

Yet they get payed the same, if not more because they promote faster, and get payed while not working, and get afforded BAH for making a bad decision, that actually makes them less workable and more prone to leaving work for personal problems, have lower physical standards, but they get payed the same and recruiters are encouraged to get females, it's such nonsense you can't justify bullshit, if a female gets pregnant in her first 4 years or before a known deployment and doesn't abort she should get admin discharged with no benefits.

Sad thing is prior to my last deployment to Iraq the rear D formation was larger than the deploying formation. Such a joke. Had to do twice the work to make up for them since we couldn’t fill the numbers.

Great vidya. My batch of fresh joes arrived to our first unit 60-65 days before we were deploying in 09. We weren't going to a nice FOB with Burger King and Green Beans to put it lightly. Suddenly a lot of "old high school football injuries" and "technically I have asthma" started spreading like a Coronavirus in an elevator. Some of them got put on Rear-D and...weren't there when we got back 12 months later.

Knew a dude who smoked crack to get out of a deployment, another dude broke his leg getting hit by a car “hit and run.” Do what ya gotta do I guess?

Weaver I do think it depends on how you view your duty, everyone has different morals and beliefs. You shouldn’t have to join the military to get basic needs met, you come first... no one, not the gov, not people, not the repubs, the dems, your house cat, no one or nothing is going to look out for you, more than yourself. Is that wrong and selfish? Maybe, but it keeps you alive, it keeps you well and healthy, so if you can get out if something. I say go for it. On another hand, if I am being deployed somewhere, I would rather have someone that didn’t try weaseling out, because typically it means they wont try to weasel out of other things that can affect someone else. The Militaries standards are a bit absurd, there are plenty of people willing to join for the more honorable reasons, and feel that patriotism, but get denied because of one reason or another, that if a draft came down would get them shipped out in a heartbeat and would be overlooked. XD People in the military are no different than me and you, though I do respect people that do want to join, and do join, especially those that do serve in a tour.

That's the funniest shit I've seen in a while😂😂 my parents have ran a family care home and took care of disabled vets for the VA for 35yrs and counting...i grew up talking to the old vets everyday of my life started with the ww2 vets that stayed here..they didn't say much about the war but did reluctantly indulge a young kid with some story's...they passed on and then we have Vietnam Vets living here...L. Gibson that was here from 06 till 17 and passed of lung cancer...he was marine 67 68 50 cal on top of tank...weve got a Navy Vet 1968 M. Cobb that has been here since 2000...known him longer than I've known my wife...ive helped take care of some Brave and Honorable Men...I have a Profound Respect for our Military 😎 love the content Man

It wasn't an attack. It was just a warning because regardless if a patient is a friend or family member it is illegal to give out their information, including their names. I'm sure the patient doesn't care really, but some people have sue happy family members that would have evidence of you violating a HIPAA law. Thank you for caring for those who have served though. Truly, it is a noble cause.
