I remember when my dad was away in Kuwait for about a year and all we did was Skype . During the summer I was always with my grandparents(His parents) as I spent most of my childhood with His side of the family . One night we hear a knock at the door and my grandmother answers it and all I seen was my uncle walk in then my grandmother says there's someone here for you , at that time I thought it was my mom or something coming to bring me more clothes . As soon as I got up from the living room to go to the dayroom there I see my dad !!! Arms wide !! All I could do was cry and I promise you I never held him so tight I was stuck all up under him lol

Beautiful, just heartwarming and beautiful. Watching children reunited with their Daddies made me cry. I loved my Daddy. He went to be with Jesus in 2012. He died of cancer. I miss him every day of my life. I am an old woman now, but I look for the day when I shall see both him and my mother again on the other side. Thank you, Mary for posting these precious reunions. My father fought in WWII and he was a simple man who raised three children to the best of his ability. I thank God for him and the legacy he left for us.

This video tells us that life is all about relationships ... relationships with our love ones & our relationships with people who take part in making things possible to happen!! Thanks for this. It surely made me cry.

I have no memories of him because he died when I was 13 months old but I feel like I would have reacted like the children of these great men and women. My father was in the Australian army for over 20 years before he died in 2013. Watching these videos always makes me cry but feel happy for those who get to see their families again

I needed this💖 my husband is currently deployed and I am 6 months pregnant with our daughter. Our service men and women do so much to protect us, I'm forever grateful and so glad I'm having a child with such a loving hard working man. Xx

When a member of you family comes home, you get an over whelming feeling that isn't capable to describe in words. It would send anyone to tears.

You didn’t realise how much you miss someone until he’s gone... but for some others is the opposite... you realise how much you miss him until you are in his arms again... What a great revelation we learn from them. Thank’s for capturing these moments so true !!

Yep, I’m crying! Thank you to these men and women. 🇺🇸🦅. When I came home after 5 years away, my dad was standing there! I was 25(f) and we sobbed together! No FaceTime or cell phones back then. I’ll never forget seeing him standing there, proud and so happy. That was 30 yrs ago and every tour from then on out, my dad was right there at the airport when I came home!

Heads up to soldiers. Not everyone can do this very hard job. Its soo emotional when the kids hugs thair kids. I never had a dad. But when i see this pictures it makes me very happy. I love the initial reaction of so many of them where it takes them 10-15 seconds to recognize who the person is standing next to them. The brain trying to catch up to the eyes that, yes, this is their loved one when they don't expect them there.

Anyone who hasn't been a parent will never understand how a mother's cry means a sigh of relief because their child is home, on safe ground. They worry ever single day that their child is safe wherever he/she is and they pray they won't get that knock on the door. It's tough! To all in the military - THANK YOU for your service to help keep us and others free and may God always be with you!

I am soooo happy to seeing this. Having a parents that a soldier is not that easy. They doing a duty to the nation, yet thinkin' their family too. Especially for a strong dad in this video. My dad just passed away 11 years ago cause of heart attack. It is soooo touchy seeing this video, and also still hoping my dad knocking on my door saying "I'm home" even it can't be true.

this is so cute and sweet i started crying when i saw the first one i feel so happy for all you people who had home comings of your family or friends

They can be stationed on a base in another country for over an entire year at a time. Even months on a battle ship. Other than that, they never know if they won't come home. Besides being happy to see them again. They are also grateful their loved ones are still alive. Our soldiers deserve more appreciation than they receive from most people.

I'm crying and I'm smiling how can be possible to make it both at the same time 😢

My great grandmother had passed away this year so it hurts but my family and I will get through it though and so will you

My friend's choir teacher got a call from her son in the military last month. She started crying and ran out of the room for better cell service. I think he's going to surprise her at Christmas idk
