I hope we fly him out when he's fit to travel and get his eyes looked at, the NHS has specialist units for dealing with extreme traumatic injuries from conflict or torture, they're very experienced and there's probably a chance his eyesight could be at least partially restored to more "usable" levels again.

After a bad traffic accident, a relative of mine was like this after a few days - stoic, optimistic, apparently making sense. But in fact he was still so traumatised mentally and physically that although he remembered being cut out of the car, he later had no memory at all of the first three weeks following the accident. And it was only a couple of weeks later still that he began to even understand the seriousness of his injuries and his prognosis. This young guy’s easy acceptance that he’ll be up and about “by autumn” reminds me very much of that early blitheness. I guess the mind only accepts what it can cope with at the time. I hope he regains some useful eyesight.

Which, judging by all the interviews of Russian POWs is something both sides are doing in this war. Just that Ukraine seems to be filming "confessions" a lot more.

I HOPE YOU WANT TO PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF UKRAINE. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE. TIME TO PRAY. You who pray for the Ukrainian people. But you, me, us, who are you praying for? Do you pray for the Ukrainian government, the army and the official and unofficial militias from western Ukraine??? Or do you wish good luck to the people of eastern Ukraine (Donbass,... Donetsk, Luganks, Mariupol, Odessa and other regions of Eastern Ukraine)??? The people of eastern Ukraine since 8 years ago at least 15,000 people have been killed. Even during the special military operations launched by the Russian Federation today. 98% of the people of eastern Ukraine are Russian speakers. That's why for the past 8 years they have been targeted by fascists from western Ukraine. For the sake of the propaganda material and content they produce, the people of eastern Ukraine are deliberately being used as human shields and massacred by political groups in western Ukraine and their soldiers and militias. So... Which one are you praying for???... To understand the context of the war that is currently happening. I suggest we study this conflict also from the reportage of independent journalists such as PATRICK LANCASTER (US) on the KZread channel. Or.... Anne Laure Bonnet (France), Eva Bartlet (Canada), Graham Phillips (UK), VN Rangeloni (Italy), Ruben Gisbert (Spain), John Mark Dougan (US) There are also at least two documentaries that many people from various countries need to know, because this documentary is also a piece of data that complements the reportage of Patrick Lancaster and other independent journalists Mark Bartalmai (German) Title : UKRIANE AGONY Made in 2014 Oliver Stone (US) Title : UKRAINE ON FIRE Made in 2015 And I really appreciate LIVRE NOIR (FRANCE) journalistic work. And I also advise all of us to look intellectually at the work ANNE LAURE BONNEL. and many independent journalists from various countries...... Please review it for yourself after seeing the various data submitted by the independent journalist since 8 years ago. May the civilians of western Ukraine and from the east soon find peace. And rotten politicians and fascist mobs must be eradicated for a better future for Ukraine Of course the work of independent journalists is considered propaganda. And strangely all the lies, provocations of war, Zelensky propaganda and neo-Nazi sympathizers in various mainstream media belonging to the western business mafia are considered to be the truth. In fact, when you cross-check between mainstream media coverage and those of humanitarian journalists, you will find HORRIBLE AND BIG LIE MAINSTREAM AMERICAN AND EUROPEAN NETWORKS.

Because Zelenskyy was not willing to negotiate, it supported the killing of the Ukrainian-Russians, did nothing to solve the many murders,,,, and NATO expanded=broke the promises (just because the Russians believed them and didn't ask for a treaty)=> came it to this war😒🤮😢

@@NoahBTW_ First of all, NATO provoked this war. NATO promised Russia they wouldn't expand east and guess what, they did. Right now they were trying to get Ukraine to join NATO to have military bases right at Russia's doorstep so of course Russia was forced to invade Ukraine to prevent that from happening, just like the U.S. would do to Mexico if Russia tried placing military bases in Mexico. Now prior to the invasion, there had been a Ukrainian government that wanted peace with Russia but the U.S. didn't want that so the CIA helped overthrow that government and maintain a anti-Russian government, also don't forget in the Donbas region, the Ukrainian government had ordered the military to bombard and massacre the Russians living there and they even started heavily shelling more just right before the Russian invasion to actually provoke Russia to go in. There is a reason why the Ukrainian military was able to hold off Russia at the start of the 2022 invasion despite seeing a very incompetent Ukrainian military in the annexation of Crimea back in 2014, NATO has been preparing Ukraine to do it's dirty work. The Special Operation Putin claimed was technically an actual operation, it was really only to get rid of Zelensky from selling Ukraine to NATO and to prevent the insecurity of Russian borders. But we know how that ended and now NATO continues to supply Ukraine TONS of military equipment. This is a proxy war, NATO wants Ukraine to destabilize Russian military, and the reason Russia is using conscripts and old soviet equipment and thugs in Ukraine is because he's saving the actual troops for a future altercation with NATO... I love Ukraine so much and it's people since before the invasion, and though I supported them I now feel I have to support Russia more just because it's not about Ukraine but to prevent NATO from having global domination. As a Mexican, I and majority of Mexicans still haven't forgotten the Mexican-American war and all the negative things Mexico has endured from the U.S., if there is a NATO/U.S. global supremacy, Mexico will never get to be it's true potential. Regardless, just remember this was never about Ukraine. My heart breaks for all the Ukrainian people who are being manipulated by NATO and dying believing their sacrifice is for the glory of Ukraine but truthfully it's for the glory of NATO, and to Russia who is obviously not fully innocent but are the only ones standing up to the imperialistic state of NATO and in the process seemed to be villains by the media.

"Wounded on April 10th." That was my dad's birthday. 4/10/1920. He fought in WWII, then after the war enlisted in the Air Force and was the first wave over to organize the Berlin Airlift. I like to say my dad fought Nazis AND walls. I miss him. (He died about a month after 9/11.) But some days I'm almost glad he's not around to see this.

War is something I am sure he was aware we haven't been able to cure yet. I'm sure he would have been sad to see the war, but been proud of these people trying to stand up for their families and homes. Your dad will never stop having been a hero. Neither will these people. Let's hope these people's sacrifices will lead them to a more secure and more free future so they can tell their kids what it was like, and continue to try to stop future wars...

it is easy to be stupid ... At the beginning, the Russians had a ban on opening fire, and even the response to fire, and they had guitkas unnecessarily ... so far, the percentage of victims is far lower than in the wars before, because Russia looks at the period after the end of the war and the need to live together ... the captured soldiers were immediately released and given food ...

@Rico Thampaty Do elaborate what my oh so "evil cause" is, exactly? Last I checked I literally wished everyone peace, including the man in the video. That, and I mentioned ignoring Russian trolls which seem to be fairly thick lately.. Which of these statements offended you, why did it offend you, and what nefarious evil scheme would require peace on earth and a generally sensible position towards internet trolls to come to fruition? .. because honestly I'm curious now.. Evil plots usually don't rely on doing the world a massive favor should it work.. but then, I am no expert on evil.. I'll happily defer to your expertise! So please do elaborate. My kids think I'm a boring bookworm.. (correctly btw.) Having an evil scheme to share with them would make me at least the "coolest mom ever" in their eyes for like .. an entire day or so... *Nods*

@Rico Thampaty The "people who sent him to war" would be Putin, who invaded Ukraine and forced these people to defend themselves. Having to hear from your nurse how it is your fault that her son died instead of the man who sent her son is at best poor bedside manner. The man who sent her son to war is *also* Putin, so you'd think they would get along better and her bedside manner with this Ukrainian man a little gentler. Putin is not just costing Ukrainian lives ...

The specifics really are awful beyond that. This world, the display of humanity, lacking, and yet evident in the conversation, the interview with this young man. Both aspects may make anyone want to 😭.
