SOLD Here we have a real piece of history. This double bass was made by Carlo Giuseppe Arienti in Milan around 1810, and is a beautiful example from the school of makers inspired by the Testore and Grancino families. Featuring a characterful flat back and narrow pegbox, this instrument certainly is raunchy when compared to some of the more refined later Milanese makers. We've given this double bass a full setup in our workshop, including a new bass bar and new neck, and the result is that it is sounding absolutely huge despite its small size.
