I was shocked how goodvit was with a Custom 24 I bought a Torero which features a Floyd Rose, Ebony fretboard (NO inlays), binding on the body and fretboard, and is mated with an EMG 81/85 set of pickups, I got an aqua one used for $600! I had a 1980 Les Paul Deluxe which I couldn't bare to keep when I got an offer of $2000 for it. Honestly my 2010 Custom 24 and my Torero sounded 90% and 95% as good as my LP, different tonally but "as good overall", so my Black Beauty went bye-bye!

Strangely, nobody here in the comments (that I've seen) has mentioned the groundbreaking work of Michael Hedges, perhaps the most innovative acoustic guitar player of our times. Sadly passed and far too young. He played one of these and did it justice. Here is Michael in 1986 playing Because It's There. He was one of a kind performer, player and man. I had the pleasure of driving him from Chicago Area to Milwaukee for the Inaugural Fingerstyle Guitar Festival in 1986, I believe.
