Why think that any of the church fathers you cite are actually expressing Sola Fide rather than some different view using the same words?

@Lay Man I have done a video on Mary being the Theotkos, a little bit by me and other by a friend. In short Theotokos meaning "God bearer", did Mary God bore in her womb? Absolutely, to reject it is to instantly in some way reject Jesus is God. Jesus after all is God incarnate. The title is given to Mary but it's more about who Jesus is and how to understand the two natures of Christ. Acts 20:28 shows us that God purchased the church with his own blood. I hope that helps, sometimes it's hard for people to understand this straight away, it took me a while. As for intercession I don't believe it's biblical, the rosary I think is a prayer for Mary to intercede for us, which once again is not biblical. God bless.

So, your rattling off of all those verses means absolutely nothing, other than that you are great at proof-texting. Did the apostles write down everything that they taught? No, they did not. That much is clear. Also, by your logic, the entire Old testament would have to be rejected because it wasn't written by an apostle.

No serious patristic scholar believes that the Early Church Fathers held to the 16th century, Protestant doctrine of "Sola Fide." Even Protestant patristic scholars realize this.

Why think that any of the church fathers you cite are actually expressing Sola Fide rather than some different view using the same words?

@Lay Man I have done a video on Mary being the Theotkos, a little bit by me and other by a friend. In short Theotokos meaning "God bearer", did Mary God bore in her womb? Absolutely, to reject it is to instantly in some way reject Jesus is God. Jesus after all is God incarnate. The title is given to Mary but it's more about who Jesus is and how to understand the two natures of Christ. Acts 20:28 shows us that God purchased the church with his own blood. I hope that helps, sometimes it's hard for people to understand this straight away, it took me a while. As for intercession I don't believe it's biblical, the rosary I think is a prayer for Mary to intercede for us, which once again is not biblical. God bless.

So, your rattling off of all those verses means absolutely nothing, other than that you are great at proof-texting. Did the apostles write down everything that they taught? No, they did not. That much is clear. Also, by your logic, the entire Old testament would have to be rejected because it wasn't written by an apostle.

No serious patristic scholar believes that the Early Church Fathers held to the 16th century, Protestant doctrine of "Sola Fide." Even Protestant patristic scholars realize this.
