    @@Osiris261 a 2 minutes clip. people can hold their breath for like 10 minutes. and she is a professional free diver. she can hold her breath for 6 minutes for sure and as a free diver she is actually trained to move/act while holding breath, so this is just her being in her natural environment lel. My guess is they filmed it a few times and the cameraman has diving gear and filmed from different position. for example he did the first and the last shot. so he had time to film, than out swim her with his gear and film the next shot. probably more than 3 in one go. and yeah looks like someone who knows what he is doing. also keep in mind in the description he says it's where her free diving school is so this is probably something she did a few times already. and no, nothing about that is super human. free diving is some ancient shit and people brought that to such extremes, even she couldn't compete. like there are professions around free diving like collecting shit from the sea floor. people who worked such jobs in the past with minimalistic gear would dive for hours even deeper than her and stay there for minutes to collect stuff, than they return with all the extra weight, get some air and go down to collect more extra weight. in the end they would end up with like 5 of such rocks strapped to them lel and if you want to bring this to the total extreme, imagine you live at a place where it gets really, really cold. freezing cold. but somehow your people don't think to kindly of cloths so you are basically naked. you can use some animal fat lol. now the women of those people would go out free diving in even colder water to get some shell fish to eat. they would come out of the freezing water into freezing temperatures and not even ask for a towel. all they had was a fire. look em up, they are called the Yahgan people. total legends.

    All humans have this dream and probably animals to. In your Dreams its hard to run because you dont feel the things u feel when u run. Like fast movement, wind, fast breathing etc. When i cannot run in my dreams i run sideways or backwards to the point i want to go. I dont know why but this works. Probably because in real you also dont run sideways or backwards.

    With proper training people can hold their breath for around 5 minutes or even longer. The suffocation sensation is not due to a lack of oxygen. It's due to a build up of carbon dioxide in the blood. Trained free divers can fight through and resist the sensation to some extent. There are additional tricks that can be used to extend the time a person can hold their breath. If the woman in this video has been free diving for a long time this probably wasn't even that hard for her.

    Holding your breath for 2 minutes while standing still isn’t too hard. But she is exerting herself by ocean hiking. The video is cut in multiple shots because they did this in multiple takes. Even if she could hold her breath for 2 minutes while do all that physical activity it would actually take longer then 2 minutes to come back up to shore as seen in the video, they cut a good amount out for it to be a shorter video.

    Thank you for all the views and comments! I'll try and answer the most frequently asked questions here. The video is set in Dominica, we shot it over the course of about 2 hours, we did many many freedives to get all the shots. The deepest dive was about 60 feet or 18 meters, all done on breath hold, both Sofia and me (the camera man). We had a safety freediver on the surface in case something went wrong. I think we could have done it in one take, but i wanted to have several angles. Some sections i wanted to film from above, some from in front of Sofia, some from behind. Most people disagree and want it in a single take - maybe next time we'll try that! And yes, we started out with a different rock: we lost it after a few takes, it fell and we couldn't find it amongst the other rocks. As for the environment, there were fish about but soon as we started running they scampered! It's fairly lively there, and we were careful not to touch the corals and the anenomes. Most people also don't like the music - i picked a rock tune because of the 'rock' nature of the video, and Sofia happens to really like rock music. Not to everyone's taste, i know, but i still quite like it, and so does Sofe, so that's how the tune got in. If you want something more mellow with Sofia, check out the mermaid video we made, also on this channel!

    There is a lot of difference than just holding your breath and holding your breath while doing physical activity..

  • @chettonex

    @chettonex

    3 жыл бұрын

    For me it is easier when doing physical activity. When I hold my breath while steady, I struggle a lot with a "reflex" on my lungs that ask me to breath again and I end up with my abs and ribs exhausted. Whereas when Im doing physical activity at certain point my lungs become relaxed and I can last a A LOT longer. When I was younger I could swim an olympic pool back and forth while holding my breath with breaststroke technique (crawl for me demanded too much oxigen) and I could barely last 2minutes while staying still.

    Things I've learned from the comments here as my video reached 1 million views in a week: 1. it's a fake. we cannot have actually done this as there are clearly several takes. 2. it's a fake. we cannot have done this as there are clearly several different stones used. 3. it's a fake. obviously the cameraman (me) gave her oxygen between takes. 4. oxygen can be stored by the liver. 5. the music both rocks and sucks at the same time. 6. Sofia has an ass. by number of comments this should have been the most important lesson learned.
