Memorial is drenched in melody with face-crushing guitars and rhythms from start to finish. Album opener ‘Sincere’ starts off with relentless propulsion, whilst the sheer power of the title track is enriched with a solid groove, underlying the weighty tones and evocative vocals of Joel Ekelöf.
Finishing with the beautiful, tragic, Pink Floyd-esque ballad ‘Vitals’, Memorial is arguably the band finding their best stride yet. Soen have been building up to this moment for years and now they’re here with Memorial, which is an inspiring modern hard rock classic.

Wellcome to Oulu,Finland in March. Really looking forward that.
The album turned out to be very energetic, powerful, but at the same time SOEN did not lose its lyrical side. Joel's voice has simply revealed itself unrealistically in the new album. I would like new experiments by the guys from SOEN with a symphony orchestra! That would be incredibly cool! We know what enormous talent our guys from SOEN have!
My heart is grateful for being alive to experience this masterpiece. Thank you for being my beautiful awesome humans 💛

Not until last year I've hear about SOEN, but since then I am one of the biggest fans. Had a great privilege to attend their concert (and shook hands with Joel). Have to say that SOEN in concert sounds perfect. All the best to you guys, keep up with the great work!

1st off.... I just found SOEN a little over a year ago, and I have been a huge fan every since. I love every album they have made. But.... I have to be honest, this is not good. Since Cognative every album has slowly became more and more just IDK.. "vanilla" . This album can only be described as a collection of average depressing ballads performed by very talented people that are clearly being held back. Sorry, but this is disappointing at best.
