@@K.B.Williams My friends and I have discussed the ark of the covenant and it is interesting what is written in Jer.3:16. This verse seems to show that the ark ceased to exist and that it has no more importance. Can't state that as an absolute but it is a curious verse. Maybe God had it destroyed or hidden so well it cannot be found. Time will tell. Take care and keep studying God's Word.

Being that Zoar was in the middle of the other 4 burning cities, it makes sense that Lot was afraid, and wanted to seek shelter in a cave in the mountain. His faith in God wasn't rock solid when God said he would spare Zoar because of Lot.

The Bible doesn’t have a list of books that belong in it so it had to come from outside the Bible. Simple history shows that list came from the Catholics. Glad I could help. 😅

This is a fabulous point and one I'm happy to discuss. I completely agree that too many people today will listen to one source of information and decide it is absolute truth without bothering to do further research. It's a naive and sometimes dangerous approach to life. I suppose what I meant by my comment was to compliment the poster on how thought out his hypotheses were and how I was impressed by the research he has done to back up those opinions. I was also impressed that he chose to address some of the problems others in his field have had with his conclusions. He gave their opinions, the facts they present to support those opinions, and then gave his rebuttal with his own facts to back them up. I will always respect a person who gives me facts that I can go check, and prove or disprove, on my own over someone who simply wants to argue about their opinions with no facts to back them up. Throughout this whole video he does just that. He gives many facts that, if I felt so inclined, I could do my own research to decide if his opinions were founded or not. But even if I never chose to do my own research, I stand by my first post. I still finished this video with new knowledge about a place I've never been, new perspectives on scriptures I have read before, and a better understanding of archeological education than I had before.

I see His beauty in different ways, He teaches me things that build my love and appreciation for Him. As Jesus teaches us later: [7] “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. I've always wondered where Zoar was in relation to the other cities that were burning. This means it was definitely a precision strike and not a random one. The scary part for me is that their depravity was so horrendous that God had to intervene. Which makes me wonder how bad this world will get before Jesus returns. Let's pray that all believers will remain in the faith and the lost will find Jesus. God Bless

@AmorphousSouffle I know and you're right...what I meant was that I'm surprised the Lord has not intervened already in some of the horrors we see in society today. It tells me that the 5 cities on the plain were so vile and wicked that God had to step in. I don't want to imagine how much worse it was back then, but unfortunately, we seem to head, closer and closer in that direction. Continue to pray for the Saints, my friend

I was fortunate enough to see this area when I was stationed in Riyadh. We flew to Aaman and drove south to Petra, stopping at sites along the way. Nebo, the church of St George. Our local driver pointed out the area where the burned cities would have been located. I felt so fortunate to be able to have seen these sites and it further cemented my belief in the historical evidence in the Bible b

I can imagine what it's like to have Professor Kramer as a classroom teacher! 😊👍👍👍

You made the long trail required to clarify the ancient and obscure biblical history very clear and easy to follow. Plus, your explanations of the diachronic linguistics also helped when following the logic used to identify each site. Well done. The work you do is faith confirming and very exciting. So thankful for God's using you to show us the true facts of the Bible through your archaeological explorations! Decades of years ago when I began my reading the Bible, I thought all those cities or places could not be traced to be found since they were of thousands of years ago. But God keeps using the Biblical archaeological evidences to show me that He has His miraculous ways, especially the archaeological one, to tell us the right answers which we have thought to have no way to get.
