    It is not the responsibility of app and social media makers to keep your kids safe I'm sorry. And it's ridiculous to say so, it's your responsibility as a parent and there is ways you can monitor their internet and their phone and their apps and that is your job. I mean seriously her parents going to start going after rated X websites and expect them to keep their children off of those sites as well

    I think it's pretty safe to assume that if you're a walmart employee and someone comes in past midnight and they purchase bleach, rope, shovels, disposable gloves and the like, just go ahead and call the police and have that person surveilled.... seriously. At this point, seriously...🤦

    I cant imagine the last thoughts of Chandler's parents, especially his mother. The last text she sent to the family proved she actually did believe Chandler. She was so proud of him. Truly heartbreaking. I hope Mitch finds peace .

    I nearly was murdered by my mentally ill husband. He put on quite a facade ie mask 🎭 for years. When I knew who he was, all hell broke loose with him. My sister is especially cunning and desperate. We haven't spoken in three years. I had to set a boundary and honor it. I am keenly aware of how these people think and behave as I had been around them and had dealt with them for 57 years. Lots of first hand experience. 😕

    The people like him are easy to understand, you just have to know that their brains don't work correctly. They don't feel guilt, pity, care or love for anyone but themselves. They care only for themselves. Once you understand that, they are easy to figure out and RUN as far as you can and build impenetrable boundaries. If you allow yourself to waver, you're doomed. Just pray you never come in contact with one.

    My heart breaks for Joeys father and mother . The loss of your child is indescribable, like no other loss ever. However, losing a child suddenly was such a tragic circumstances is heart wrenching. Losing my daughter unexpectedly has been the most tragic ever in my 65 years of life. it’s been a year and a half and I don’t think I’ll ever be back to myself. Sending prayers for Joey ‘s parents. I understand your pain!

    What a RELIEF it would have been to drop all the lies he was living.... can you even imagine juggling a half dozen major lies every day and never knowing what will happen. In a day or two he could have been on the way to getting his REAL life back together after telling his parents everything. I am baffled by his psychology. There is something going I can't quite see.

    I watched the entire trial of the Halderson case, and my mind was blown !! Not only the thorough professionalism of the police but all the scientists involved to piece together the case, but the judge and prosecution conducted an outstanding trial. I never will understand the depth of evil humans will do. God Bless everyone impacted by that devil Chandler.

    The Nicole Lovell case is extremely heartbreaking. Only 13 years old brutally murdered.. Social media is extremely dangerous for everyone, but especially for children ... too many dangerous sick in the head predators running around free as a bird

    I’ve never had Parents like what Chandler had, and I can Understand how perhaps he hated to **Disappoint them** by his flunking out of school and not having this “wonderful job position”, but murdering them was definitely **Not the Answer**. What’s the worse his Parents could have done after finding out his lies? They certainly wouldn’t have killed Chandler I’m almost certain.

    I've seen this told story told over 50 different times in 50 different ways. It chills me to the bone every time. I have watched the 'family' and lack of love, empathy and kindness for parents dissolve right before my eyes over the past 30 years. The internet and quack KZread therapists have desensitized complete generations of children and produced some scary narcissistic sociopaths. So sad.

    That is called a coincidence, which are common collectively.     I think Joey"s fun night out pursuing hot girls ended up in a gay felon attempting a SA ending up in murdering him. They coerced him back in the apartment with promoses of drugs or something. Once girls leave, and its daylight, no incentive for a guy to hang out with 3 guys he just met. They enticed him back.

    I’ve watched many, many trial cases. The prosecutor for the Chandler Halderson case was one of (if not thee) _greatest_ prosecutor I’ve ever seen in any trial! He was just perfect!

    This case didn't seem particularly difficult to prosecute. There was plenty of evidence, no other suspects, and clues that were very easy to follow up on.

    Or that Google search records can be found, or car gps, or that with DNA it now doesn’t matter if you never had your DNA on record, they can find you if any relative is on the large genealogy database, or can tell your eye color, race, etc. Chandler got caught by most all of those, and more, thought that his obvious lies would hold up under scrutiny.

They should have worked harder to get him to admit his guilt and spare us all the trial. No one in jail is going to buy his posturing/posing. He's gonna have it rough.

    They choose to be criminal lawyers. Thier client also has to agree to the defense put forward and whether to take a plea. Guilty or not, all Americans have the right to a fair trial and representation. On the other hand, appointed lawyers don’t get to pick and choose cases. I’m sure they realized this wasn’t going to be a win.

    This case floors me for many reasons, but I just keep asking myself why Chandler could not have put all of that energy into actually finding a job. Bart and Krista look like people I would’ve loved to have known. When I first heard Chandler say he had a job at SpaceX, I knew he was lying right then.

    His lawyer saying that all 12 members of the jury were going to come to different conclusions is insulting. Them coming back so quickly with a guilty verdict should be a sign that she should find a different career path.
