Always going with the speed of the game. He's steps ahead of the plays in his mind, and always has great catch phrases like "waffle boarded aside" pitchforked in" and "stick handled in a phonebooth" to name a few. He's surely missed by all hockey fans. Slàinte from New Jersey...keep up the killer work, and happy holidays

    The guy who slammed his opponents head into the boards did get a 5 minute major, but also a match penalty. A match penalty is an automatic ejection from the game. The guy who “took the hit like a champion” we are taught to absorb the hit (if possible of course) by actually hugging up against the glass similar to what he did. That way instead of getting hit and jolted into the glass/boards, you actually cause a sort of spring effect where you go right to the boards to absorb, they hit/squat you but the force then goes through you to the boards and back, sending the guy who made the hit flying while you stay standing, he gets the worst of it not you, that’s pretty much what happened here. Though he was hit from behind hence the penalty and does add a bit more degree of difficulty if you will to not getting hurt when you get hit from behind.

    Your question about penalty shots. I played as goalie for more than 10years, my statistics was around 70% stops om shootouts. It's usually harder for the player, some have such good moves that are close to 70/80% efficiency. It's not uncommon for a team to lose bc they didn't score a single one.

  • @edschramm6757
    @edschramm67573 жыл бұрын

    Penalties normally are a man advantage, and if I recall most teams have about a 20% conversion, with some teams reaching around 25 percent. Penalty shots are another matter entirely, and fluctuate a lot. Most of them occur in Shootouts, actual Penalty shots are quite rare. Quite often, it's more or less a 50/50 on it being a goal, though your star players will often be a bit lower because they are studied by goalies for that situation.

    You should react to Braydon point and the first one is so great is because it was his first game of the playoffs and it was in the final after being out with an injury

    6:35 Adam for most penalty shots i would say they usually score about half of them, for actual powerplay its usually 25 percent of the time.

    Penalty shots are pretty rare, but i would say it's more like 3 or 4 out of 10 they make it. The goalies are so big & skilled, it's not as easy to beat them now a days

    The last video between Ottawa and Toronto. The Toronto player that started that you need to react to. Darcy Tucker, second only to Domi as Toronto best enforcer

    Hey adam, a while back you did a vid, i dont remember exactly which one, but there was a Patty kane shootout goal against the wild that you flipped about, and yes it was an insane goal. But theres a little “behind the scenes” video of that which is really cool and gives you an inside of what NHL players actually do before and after games. Its called “Blackhawks Road trip with Paul Goodman” Its really cool and i think you should give it a react. shows alot and tells you alot

    For the penalty shots it depends on the player, If it’s someone like Patrick Kane then it’s probably going in, but in shootouts there are a lot of misses

    Most people score penalty shots less than 50% (and I'm moreso discussing shootout attempts specifically now that those are a thing). TJ Oshie is probably the best shootout scorer in the league and he's around 50% When it comes to actual penalty shots, the league as a whole is usually between 30-40%. And there's probably anywhere between 40-60 penalty shots a year

    Played in 3 games with bench clearing brawls. I’m one of them I ended up in the other teams bench and had to fight my way out. In another one I was stuck at the bottom of a huge pile. I was worried about suffocating and being stepped on. It was pretty scary actually.

    Toronto Maple Leafs forwards Darcy Tucker and Tie Domi will have a little time to think about their actions in Tuesday night's game against the Ottawa Senators. After participating in a hearing with NHL vice-president Colin Campbell in the league's downtown offices on Wednesday morning, the two forwards learned how long they'll sit on the sidelines for their involvement in separate incidents in an ugly 4-1 loss in Ottawa. Tucker will miss five games while Domi has been suspended for three games. Both players will not get paid during the time they are suspended. Based on their annual salaries, Tucker will forfeit $80,728.68 US and Domi $31,388.88 US. Tucker started a brawl at 7:30 of the third when he hurled himself into the Ottawa bench and started trading punches with Chris Neil. It was made clear during Wednesday's hearing that Tucker did not charge the players' bench as a result of being spit at by Neil, as the Leafs player argued after the game.

    The music you reacted to in the TOR-OTT game is actually from the original Star Trek series. An episode where Kirk is forced to fight Spock on his homeworld... all over Spock's woman.
