Most of the teams in the Spanish league have no money and are unable to afford top quality players that's why the Spanish league is failing on the commercial side, its basically Barcelona, Real Madrid and everyone else is quite poor. Its just as bad in the French league now he's at PSG.

Back in the summer of 2005 I had some free tickets for the WC under 20 here in the Netherlands. That's where I witnessed pure revelation and not a single hair on my head had any doubt this alien was going to be the greatest ever. Never ever have I seen such skill, vision and footballing IQ in a player. Since then I've maybe missed like 10-15 games in his entire career (such as those meaningless games vs some random 4th Division club like Extremadura or so in the CdR). Personally I liked him the most when he was still in those early years (2005-2009) before Pep posted him central instead of Zlatan (well actually Messi wanted it himself), so pre-2010. Because he had more free space to dribble around so you could see him at full speed dancing around his opponents left and right and cut into the center as a winger. And most of all, he was still at that age where he had so much energy to give each game and seeing him dance with that long hair was just so magical to see. Like I remember that game vs Chelsea where he wrecks Arjen Robben just by willpower and skill, I lolled so hard even tho Arjen is my most favorite Dutch player ever (I wasn't alive when Cruijff was still playing). In the center he was just too closely surrounded constantly even tho he started scoring way more, but to my taste he could display more of his frivolity posted as a winger. That's the difference between watching the game mainly for the football itself or watching it mainly for goals.

Well, in case you want to see some of Messi's latest successes, the same channel, MagicalMessi, has another video called "The Story: Lionel Messi 🇦🇷 Fight For Glory", which actually shows Messi's whole international career (this video just showed a small part), his struggle to win his first title with the senior National Team, and his path to winning the World Cup, even with some of the clips having Argentinian commentary.

He had a chance to become a Spanish citizen, and he would have won many more world cups as part of the amazing Spanish team of a few years ago, but his heart remains with Argentina, and he did it the hard way. BTW, his record number of goals in one year was 91, not 81 (the first number was half hidden by the closed captioning). In terms of statistics, Messi has got the greatest number of goals, but some players are very close to his totals. However, if you combine # of assists to the # of goals, nobody EVER is even close to Lionel Messi. Messi is like Ronaldo and Zidane in one player. Simply the best ever. And to do it at his small stature with so many bigger, stronger, and faster athletes trying to stop you, this makes it that much more out of this world.

Stronger, faster? 😂😂 There arent many players stronger than Messi, i can promess you that. Faster? Maybe now, from 2004-2018 he was the fastest player with the ball in the world and in history. There simply isnt anyone like him. It seems silly to say it but it really appears as if he's more than just human

The penalty kick at 19:47 was actually a tribute to Cruyff who had recently passed away at the time. One of my favorite Messi videos as a soccer/football player is “The Game Through the Eyes of Lionel Messi” as it is entirely a mashup of interviews of him explaining his mentality towards the game.

Messi is the greatest sportsman in my lifetime as no individual has entertained more people. The World Cup crowned his status as arguably the greatest ever (only Pele and Maradona can compare).

My emotions are, in general, deep in my psyche. Not many things bring them out. I am very logical 90% of the time. But weirdly enough, I feel like crying when I watch messi´s highlights, because I can´t avoid this feeling to be watching a talent that does not come from this world, a god given talent. As I said I don´t like football and I am not religious either, so that makes it extra weird, but talent, personal history and personality put together is too big of a coincidence. Is like god said, "hmm, I need to inspire a lot of people once again, what could I do this time?, oh I know, I will create the best football player ever, oh! and I could take the chance to make him argentinian, since those guys are so fucked up by their politicians they could use some happiness, and they love football so much; He will represent the little guy, and He will win the cup being directed by his personal hero, Aimar. In messi you have a physical marvel and a mastermind all in one. He have a mind built for football, he understands when is the perfect moment to release the ball, he understand when is the precise moment to hit the brakes and suddenly stop so the defenders past him by, and when they try to come back he suddenly starts so he can lose them. He never kick the ball too hard or too soft, he only uses the right amount of violence in his boot, he give the ball the precise curve so the goalkeeper can not reach it. He is always awarçe of his surroundings, where his teammates are. Are they running full speed? are they going to outrun their defenders in the next 2 seconds? He sees it all. You can watch him, moving his head from one side to another, he is scanning the match in real time, every player on the field, every situation and the possibilities. In his personal life he is a real nice guy, quiet, sometimes shy but in the field he is a predator, an animal always looking for the way he is going to crush you, to beat you. Like a protective dog, he can play with the kids and a seem to be a nice cute dog, until a danger appear, and then you will notice he can be powerful, aggressive, and very determined. He lost some of his stamina, but his mind continues to be sharp focus for playing football, he still have some magic to release.
