@@imme-zt3nuI agree, but the Celts that moved from Europe into the isles came from Galicia. That’s all I said. I didn’t say that there were only Celts in Spain.

@@aydenfrac I didn't say anything like that because the celts were all over Europe in the iron age.

@@imme-zt3nu I understand stand that the celts were all over Europe. But the specific celts that migrated into the northern islands came from the north coast of Spain. Like the gentleman in the video said. Galicia
I went to Wales felt the ppl remind me of Scottish folks ....thanks for this !
My family’s tartan is of the Mcveitch family clan. ❤
Thanks brother I'm irish,Scot, welsh
Wow I didn't know Galicia is Celtic nation! Thank you
Galícia and north of Portugal.
Thanks for the clarification. Very interesting to know.
The northeast of Portugal is very celtic. The music of regions such as Beira Baixa, Trás-os-montes among others is very celtic: all the bagpipes and the tap dancing as well. Let's remember that Portugal wasn't part of what is called nowadays, Spain. It was part of Galicia. Even the Latin-celt name the very country has: Porto Cailleach, the national symbol of that celtic rooster which is also adopted in France. And when it comes to Spain, we cannot stress only the celtic influence of Galiza, but also the Asturias, what, you guys have forgotten about Hevia already. The famous piper from the 90's? For non lazy intelects: Madredeus, Brigada Victor Jara, Gaiteiros de Lisboa, Realejo, Amália Muge are some celtic music groups from Portugal, the beautiful celtic war song from Portugal, Senhora do Almortão, has got the brilliant version of Tereza Salgueiro and Lusitania Esemble. Some Portuguese words of celtic origins: Cachorro, Briga, Cerveja, Cuca. You're welcome.
My family has roots from Galicia and I’ve been into kilts for some time. Suddenly I don’t feel odd about wearing my kilts, not that I really did before. Now I will happily purchase a Celtic Nations kilt, as it has ties to my family roots.

celtic by culture when the celtic wave cam from anatolia to the rest of europe however not genetically to the people of the isles. the culture and instruments and the jewelry had middle eastern or western asian origins.@@autumnphillips151

Galicia has no living Celtic language in it sadly, but its culture and traditions are noticeably Celtic. You make a little mistake at the end by saying that Gael, Galicia and Gaul are rooted in the same word. It's easy to be tricked into thinking that but in actuality Gael comes from a Brythonic or Welsh word meaning 'wild', Gaul comes from a Germanic, specifically Frankish word for foreigner which is actually cognate with the English word 'Welsh', and Galicia comes from the Gallaeci tribe whose name probably means wood.

@@michaelcandido2824 that's the problem Celtic is generalisation. Our Irish language shares no routes to the brythonic celts they are teo different things labeled as celts The closest relatives we have besides the Scottish are iberians since us irish are from the iberian peninsula britons on the other hand are northern celts share more relation to gauls and leptonic crlts in Switzerland Whereas us irish are southern celts who migrated north

I think anytime that you mention Galicia, you have to automatically include our bothers in Asturias and Cantabria; As all have dominated the region at one point in time and all fell under the kingdom of Gallaecia. We also cant forget our cousins in Northern Portugal and our original capital city of Braga.

The vast majority of tartans are a Victorian invention. Victoria also interfered with Irish Culture. Dancing with the arms rigid at the side for example.
