Its almost weird to think the white Explorer would be cooler with some wear but even as I say this, with a newly aquired matte black one, I wipe it down after playing and take the utmost care of it 😂

If they cared about what they are doing. Wouldn't have problems to begin with no quality control at Gibson

I have never understood why the "80s" Explorers, including the 2015 Guitar of the Week put the strap button and toggle switch in different spots. I'm sure it's a manufacturing efficiency thing but would be sweet if they were actually a replica.

How are going to buy that 80s Explorer for $1899 on the Demo Shop and then try to sell it for $2799? Come on man!

Why the pole screws on the neck humbucler of the paul are in the lower bobbin? Is it reversed?

I wish you could've documented that Wing Tip SG awhile back. Makes me want to play around with refinishing an Epiphone 🤔😀

I refurbished a 78 25th 50th 25 years ago...Refin in Brochburst with Fralin unbuckers...amazing sound...and got the silver gold down to a tee...Great playing ax!...but hey..late 70's LP Over 10 lbs.

That Stetsbar bridge is excellent. They work perfectly. They stay in tune no matter if you dive bomb or pull. Eric Stets is a stand up guy.

Shippers consider Alaska and Hawaii almost “international” because of the distances involved. That’s why Reverb shipping options are “Continental US” and “Everywhere Else”, pre-Reverb I sold a Tele I’d converted into a Nocaster to someone outside of Anchorage… neither of us realized shipping was that nuts but thankfully eBay was like, “yeah… sorry.” He paid for it though.

I saw a Stingray SG on reverb earlier today.

Bought that 80s explorer for 1899 and is selling it for 2799.

I got my 25th 50th buckle about 20 years ago on Ebay, for 50 bucks. Was out of Texas...so it was worn...still happy to have it...

I have exactly the same The Paul all original it is chainsaw case, mine is 70049 yours is 70129, 8 days difference…

I love me a good The Paul. A Les Paul with contours, that’s a dream body shape to me. Ever better would be a LP Special Double Cut with the same contours.

I like the brass Gibson belt buckle with the swirls , and that Chuck Berry ES-355 is quite the looker ! Love the darker cherry finish and the ambering...Thanks Trog !

Never heard of it being called "COVID era", especially with Gibsons. I'd rather call it "bankruptcy era" for the new golden era. I think it's the best thing to happen to the company, maybe it shocked them into taking things a bit more seriously, and especially the past 12 or so months

My trick back when I was still skinny enough for large belt buckles was to wear the belt in a way so that the buckle would be shifted to the left instead of being centered. That way belt buckles wouldn't scratch up my guitars when playing while standing. I'd imagine doing that with these big Gibson belt buckles might keep you from chewing up the back of guitars.

I'd doubt that they'd ever bring that back but you never know.

I’m not a huge Gibson guy but I think the belt buckles are cool. It’s funny, they throw em in, probably hoping it’ll ding up the guitar so the owner buys a new one.

the fake belt buckle looks much better and prettier than the original, I would rather buy and wear it than the original because I don't like it, but that's just a matter of taste
