So That's Why It Didn't Sell! | Antiques & Vintage Show 'N' Tell
We get an up close look at my take on antique shows in this episode! With rental car delays, I had to act fast to pull this one together...will antique and vintage collectors respond?
There's a lot of surprises in this one, from fab 1970s sunroom finds to live online shopping in my antique show booth (yes, it can happen!). We show the ins and outs of making a show space that's distinctive from the other 1000 booths in a huge show, talk about what's appealing about the fun stuff we have to sell and give actual real world prices asked and sold for a huge variety of items from Sascha Brastoff elephants to designer costume jewelry!
Join us for this fun walk through my booth (and my neighbors') at Renningers giant Mount Dora, Florida antique extravaganza, on the eve of the first edition of the show for the new year!

That thermometer is beautiful!
Wonderful video George. I finally saw something in one of your antique booths that I actually own. I have the fire king relish tray. I use it to hold my jewelry. Thanks for taking us along. You sure cheered me up on this rainy cold day in the Philadelphia suburbs. Keep posting videos and I’ll keep watching.❤
Loved your collection & many successful sales ❤️🇨🇦
My nephew works at Gladding McBean in Lincoln California! I was unaware of all the ceramics and pottery they made! Thank you for the information 😊

So much interesting stuff! Thank you!
The game they were playing on the fan picture might be “blind man’s bluff”. I don’t remember the rules, but I vaguely remember playing it….60 years ago, and it was an old game then.
Thank you for the vicarious shop. Beautiful objects as usual! The game on the fan is "Blind Man's Bluff," which is similar to tag, but when you catch the person, you have to identify them by touch before you take the blindfold off. It was considered a very flirtatious and slightly naughty game among adults.
Enjoyed your glassware and knowledge, plus so addictive 😊
So fun!!
Great treasures 🥰
Love and peace
Hey George, I’ll be at the Feb show. Would love to stop by and say hi!

I thought so too!
Hi George, The Brumm enamel plate is pronounced like drum - Norman Brumm and his wife were artists in Charlevoix, Michigan and had a beautiful studio and store. My mother-in-law lived in Elk Rapids, just south of Charlevoix and sometimes gave her six children a Norman Brumm for Christmas. We have that plate in which we throw our keys. Oh Dear! II guess I will move it now that I see what it’s worth today. Hugs, from 9a in Michigan
"I don't think they did that in France" 🤣🤣
Wow, what a memory blast from my childhood and teen years!! Thanks for the tour of your booth.
Love the kitsch and pixie collection! Can’t afford it all…but would have loved to buy it all!❤
I loved all the kitsch you had George! The pixie ware and Holt Howard are always fun to see❤️

Hello there!
Great items! Love the Sascha pieces.
You’re awesome, George. Ty for your vids ❤
Blind Man’s Bluff
I recently found two Sasha B pieces in my mothers kitchen cabinet. She said they had been a wedding gift that she never really cared for so they have remained untouched for all these years.
One reason I love watching is through the years I have had much of the things I see on your show's ! It's like visiting old friends ! We downsized so I have given much to my Kids through the years ,( I have five ) plus sold a lot plus quite a few grandkids that I gave stuff ! Being from Rhode Island my family had a lot to do in the Jewelry industry !
Loved the video
Always enjoy your shows. I sometimes will see items my mother had from 50-60s. Thanks George for all the info 😊
George and Xeno, sorry I missed the live chat tonight 😏 I always love the compassion and interactions between everyone!!! 😊💞🥰
Glad you had a really good sale. Everyone seemed happy to be out in the sunny weather. Take care & Happy Trails to you next show !! :~)

That sunshine! Haven't seen that for a while! We're freezing here in Portland Oregon
I know they are not antique George but, myself and others are looking for the old Dixie cup dispenser that hangs on the wall. If you ever come across any pick them up I guarantee you they will sell. New or used, thank you for sharing your knowledge sir….🙂
I missed the live but watching now. Gorgeous, gorgeous treasures at your booth, George.
The game on the fan- blind man's buff.

That look like a great show !
Maybe the game scene on the fan is ‘blind man’s bluff’?
❤❤❤
Do ever get in the New England area ? You are so likable a real sweetheart ! Not hitting on you don't worry, I'm 77 your to old for me !
I'm so sad that I missed it 😭
What amazing pieces you had, I wanted just about everything on the tables. What’s your schedule in Florida, my best friend is only about an hour from you, if I had had your schedule I would of planned my trip down there. Thanks for sharing George ✨✨✨✨✨
Good evening, George! I liked the fish planter that was next to the brass donkeys. There was a Carnival Glass rose bowl that caught my eye. It looked like Westmoreland "Louisa"...the original "Louisa" and not Jeannette's "Floragold". I'm still liking that mask. Were there porcelain salt cellars there in the mix? Those opera glasses, on the jewelry case, were nice. I liked the Stangl goldfinch. Loved the Cadillac promo cars. Great setup of items! Congrats on the sales!!! Thanks for the show!!!

You have some great items. When i see other channels where people buy at Goodwill it makes me irritated seeing all that junk
I’m a newbie here and love your channel. I’ve got a old piece of Dugan (I think)carnival glass with a horn in the center. I’m having a blast watching your past videos hoping to see something like it to get a idea of it’s value.

Will you be doing any shows on the east coast ?( I live in central Connecticut). I Would love to see you at a show and buy a little treasure.
❤
George I love your video and I'm wondering if your magazine purse sold. Also whether you sold it here or not, if you could tell me the price. I'm interested. I so love it.
🤩🤩🥰🥰
💖
Hi George! I’m very interested in the deco desk clock, depending on the price. Can you give me information?
When and Where else will you be selling in Florida? Gonna be down that way for a few weeks and would love to shop your wares.
Believe the green owl is possibly Kanawha and the mushroom Blenko.

I was! I’m sorry to say I’ve not had a single piece of Starnes for a few years
That checoslovachia glass did they make other things with the leftovers
I really need a nice chinese checkers board. I want to teach my grandchildren to play as I did years ago with my grandmother. Do you have any of those left? If so, I would be interested. I live near Mt Dora if you'll be back in the area anytime again this year. Sorry I missed you this time!
I'm not going to Renningers unless I have a UHaul and a sherpa 😅
