I love that camel vest you are wearing. It really suits you. I also never buy project bags. I just use shoe bags, or any nice cloth shopping bag that I end up with. I prefer to spend my money on yarn rather than bags!

Yes, I almost always use bags I was given. I have never purchased a project bag

Team "No Buttons" for your cardi! I love that open look, personally. I also love String Things by Mel. Her podcast is so good, and that champagne cardi she knit is gorgeous!

Thanks for sharing all your projects. Very inspiring! So happy you left your nephew’s sweater as is. I’m of the opinion that as long as mistakes are not messing up future rows’ stitch counts or morphing the shape of the FO, let it go! It actually looks like another section of texture-bonus points for you. 😅 And I can’t wait to see your fluffy cardigan when finished. It looks incredibly cozy yet still a little fancy. Even if not ever actually closing up the front, buttons will set the tone for the sweater’s vibe. Big glitzy rhinestones, delicate pearls, chunky-funky… endless possibilities. When time to make final decision maybe take it to a shop with wide button selection and lay out lots of choices right on it. If none make you say “WOW”, maybe no buttons is your answer. Love from Hilton Head Island South Carolina.

This comment made my day! It reminded me there is a fabric store next to Stephen & Penelope yarn shop here which seems to have an endless selection of buttons so I think when I'm done I'll pop by there and see if anything speaks to me.

@@Goodknits_ I’m looking forward to seeing the final choice. It’s going to be gorgeous no matter what. Definitely in my library of future projects. 💜

I just finished a pair of Bear Paw socks by Andrea Mowry and I loved making them! They were a very last minute birthday gift for a friend and it worked out perfectly. The instructions are for 2 strands of fingering weight together but she also lists yardage needed for just 1 strand of dk weight yarn. The heel she uses was very easy as well. Great podcast!

You are not the only one! I've purchased my 1st project bag, but I use a lot of reusable grocery bags that I have accumulated. I would like to purchase a small knitting project bag specifically for sock projectss.

haha glad it's not just me! I seem to have so many of these tiny random bags so I've never felt a need for a true project bag. That being said, there are so many cute ones I keep coming across that it may be time to buy one...

Thanks so much for sharing another video! Your storm sweater is adorable, I’m trying to resist buying that pattern and instead knitting from my library but it’s a struggle!

Please do your videos at a comfortable pace for yourself. You are such a joy to watch that I do not want you to burn out! Do what makes you happy. I agree that it woyld be nice to take your fluffy sweater with you, lay different buttons on it to see what talks to you. I think buttons will add to the charm of the sweater.

Another great video! I love your slipover. It looks so cute! I just saw the Whiskey Neat dk socks this morning and thought you might like them! I do need texture advice lol! I haven't knitted a garment with cables but id love to make the Billie cardigan by Sari Nordlund. Do you think its crazy to try that and also what about cables flat instead of in the round? Would that would be hard?

Thanks for the sick recommendation! Never seen those ones before but the pattern looks so nice. So I will admit I’m not the biggest cable knitter. I tend to only use them on hats or in small pieces on a sweater. I just looked at the cardigan you mentioned and it definitely looks like an ambitious and difficult pattern. Not sure if your current confidence as a knitter but if you’re still early on that one might be a big thing to take on. I’d suggest you try making a cable beanie first to see if you are okay with the process and then go for a sweater. I personally hate knitting cables so know I would likely never knit a garment with a lot of them. And absolutely no idea how hard they might be worked flat! Good luck with your first try at cables!

I just looked at the sandness garn perfect on the weekend but didn’t know how it would be so will enjoy hearing your thoughts on it. Where are you going in Canada? I am on the west coast and was about to give suggestions, but realized if you were going to the east coast they wouldn’t be much help lol

Oh you're lucky - there seem to be so many more yarn stores and indie dyers there than in BC. I hope you have a great trip!@@Goodknits_
