We've been waiting for thirteen years for this. It's great to see Illumination bringing back a fan favorite for a new short. I think people will be really excited to see Vector's grand return.

I bet by the end of the short, Vector will return to earth and set him up for his potential return in Despicable Me 4. We need to have more Vector in the future Illumination, make it happen.

Although Bowser gives him a run for his money, Vector is still the best Illumination villain and I’m so happy that he’s finally returning after 13 years! Honestly, I’m surprised he’s still alive.

Anyone else find it frustrating that they didn’t bring back Vector’s dad as the overarching villain, despite being the head of the villain bank and Gru sending Vector to space, but instead had him briefly appear in Minions 2 and did a short about Vector?

The time between this short and the first Despicable Me movie is comparable to that between the Incredibles movies, and yet somehow it feels much shorter

I have the strong feeling that Vector will be coming back for Despicable Me 4.

To be honest, with Vector's many failures shown in the trailer, I kind of expected he wouldn't return to Earth. In fact, I actually thought he was still gonna be stuck on the moon at the end. Also, * SPOILER FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IT * it is still possible that he survived on Mars. Sure, he doesn't have his equipment anymore, he's just in his underwear, but at least he still has his space helmet and the alien could still give him a ride home if he wanted. In fact, he was never shown to have any equipment at the end of the first movie; he was seemingly just stuck on the moon with nothing to help him get back home, so one could argue that his ending for the first movie was just as cruel as the one in Mooned.

Vector returning for Despicable Me is like Lord Farquaad returning for Shrek

Honestly I was expecting that one minion was actually forgotten about by gru, and his family. Ending up becoming angry over that time, being abandoned. With him working with Vector to take revenge against gru and his family. Ending up being super successful and less of a joke villain, more like a villain who becomes MORE evil after his previous defeat. Maybe reveal these two were the ones who got Dr. Nefario frozen in carbonite back in the lab, while they stole some inventions. Though that would be like revealing Lucy Wilde's grandfather was actually Wild Knuckles, who could have did a name swap of his last name as his villain name. *Thus making Gru and Wilde Knuckles actually related* Would explain why her parents worked for an ANTI villain organization, because the father of one of them was too busy being evil to spend time with them. Also... Lucy Wilde.... Yeah.. Red hair, green eyes... Can't help but think that if they were animals... She would a fox, and Gru would be a Mule. *Yes she'd be related to Nick Wilde*

The short films focusing on the minions including Kevin, Stuart and Bob from the Despicable Me franchise are mostly composed of deleted scenes (Scenes that were originally going to be used in the Despicable Me feature films.) and concepts that never made it into the feature films due to time constraints and it being composed of too much filler the same goes for the short films from The Secret Life of Pets franchise (Including Super Gidget) and ones from the Sing franchise, (For Gunter’s Eyes Only, Animal Attraction, Gunter Babysits, Eddie’s Life Coach and Love at First Sight.). Pengali as of now is Illumintation’s only original non-franchise short film, Sony Pictures Animation, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Blue Sky Studios and DreamWorks Animation have made way more.

I wonder how Vector is still alive up there without food or water 💀
