So I moved to the city, where I actually lived in a burned-out Buick LeSabre for a while. Which was okay. That was okay. Another thing thats annoying is when people automatically associate being black with being ghetto. One girl actually commented on my afro saying "I love your hair, its so ghetto". MachiavelliImmortal I disagree that weaves are "ghetto". I dont personally like them on me, but I dont judge anyone who wears them. They're just accessories. If weaves are "ghetto" them so is makeup, hair dye, and everything else that is unnatural and cosmetic. Also, you're using the word ghetto incorrectly. Ghetto describes a place, not a person or their appearance. What you mean to say is trashy. But you're still wrong.

Cody Brown it's all relative..people in ghettos say it too..because the place fosters circumstances and lifestyles some are cliche. stereotypes that some buffoons can't wait to validate. the only people really lived there are semetic people in Nazi germany. they can be the most offended by this term. I like to point out what I consider ghetto to resist the spread of it..because it can quickly spread to any community like a disease..a social disease and even effect those who care most, it what happens when mercenaries are your government, and doing the bare minimum service to the public. this is not inherently a "race" problem like some presume this is a fiscal and social economic.. cultural problem. the characters are delusional and spoiled insensitive but the gentrifying one is almost realistic..don't do it.l lightly..accept the fate that ghetto life is different than yours and be thankful for that and hopeful that those crabs in than barrel who don't want it can escape with their souls intact.this not to say nothing good in ghettos..people are there and people always have greatness in their realm. great beauty and art but very often not worth dealing with everything else mostly. lots of undiagnosed illness and problems. injustice and opportunity drought.never glorify this kind of settlement.you don't know who's child your hurting by desensitizing. dont try to help the ghetto ppl if you don't know them or not good at reading people. overall though.. one man's ghetto is another man's glade.yes I invent.lame knockoff expressions.

If you want to tell people to shut up join Daesh or hang with Kim Jong Un. I'm sure they'll oblige you. And yes...the term "ghetto" was first used to apply to the Jewish quarter of Venice. Wasn't meant as any slight to Italians (in case you thought so)..just a fact.

this was by far the funniest, best written sketch I've ever seen on SNL. I wanna know who wrote this. It was great.

this reminds me of when I was a teenager and my friends would ask me to go out with them somewhere, they would say things like, "its just ten bucks" as if its nothing and it was a lot to my family. It also reminds me that I was fortunate enough to have a home. Being black isn't ghetto and there is always someone less fortunate above you, even in the deepest pits of the devils hell... so check yourself before pitying yourself.

I like what they did here, people often use getto incorrectly in a context which it wasn't meant for. and they showed that by showing people what's getto and what's not. you saw at the end where they didn't want to use it anymore it's cause they realized what was getto and what wasn't.

I like how accurate their description of the ghetto was. I wonder if they had someone live in the ghetto for a week just to capture the realness.
