So... did you want me to talk about things? Nope, NOT TODAY! // Draft Horse Farming

On today's video I will be doing no talking, just working! Enjoy the sights & sounds of draft horse farming!
Watch our videos to learn about draft horses- horse logging, horse farming, and horse training! Jim uses Belgian, Percheron, and Suffolk horses to do work on the farm and in the woods. He teaches about harnesses, horse-drawn logging and farming equipment, horse feeding and maintenance, and voice commands for horses. New videos uploaded every week. Keep watching to see how Jim trains his new Suffolk Punch colts as he has trained his full-grown teams!

Ahh. The farm sounds. Cow and horses munching hay, the sound of the horses pulling the spreader and digger. And the sound of relief while putting the horses in the barn!! I also love the sound of Jim softly telling the horses what he wants them to do. I do enjoy hearing people telling us about what's happening on the farm. A mix is good! Thanks for sharing your day with us.

Hey Jim and Brenda, An absolutely wonderful video of the sights and sounds on the horse farm. Your new opening lettered in Red looks terrific. Pansy the Jersey Cow looks very content chomping on her hay. The chicken are content pecking around the yard. The barn cats look very comfortable resting on the edge of the horse stall walls. The overhead drone footage looked terrific of backing Ken and Duke with the manure spreader into the loose house and then harrowing the oval in the crop field with Baron and Earl. It was a pleasure to listen and watch.

Nice stuff, that seems to be working up pretty decent. Hope you get it sowed before another wet spell! The longer I live the more I regret not quitting my slave job sooner and going fulltime at the horses, totally changes your life's outlook once you do. Delivered a load of hay to a neighbour, 2 mile round trip with a team and wagon, stopped to chat for 20 minutes while I was there while the horses dozed in the sun. Back home and just turning them out when another neighbour happenes to walk past and another 20 minute visit. Now just in for some cold roast and tea and over to cut fence posts for delivery tomorrow. Glad to see this video pop up in my feed! It is always a big worry in a wet spring and I sure wish everyone well in their spring planting.
