So... did you want me to talk about things? Nope, NOT TODAY! // Draft Horse Farming
On today's video I will be doing no talking, just working! Enjoy the sights & sounds of draft horse farming!
Watch our videos to learn about draft horses- horse logging, horse farming, and horse training! Jim uses Belgian, Percheron, and Suffolk horses to do work on the farm and in the woods. He teaches about harnesses, horse-drawn logging and farming equipment, horse feeding and maintenance, and voice commands for horses. New videos uploaded every week. Keep watching to see how Jim trains his new Suffolk Punch colts as he has trained his full-grown teams!

And the Oscar for the best film producer--------- goes to Brenda for Working Horses with Jim
I love hearing the horses crunching on their hay.
Good to see your milk cow learn to eat hay.👍

Still no idea about cropping green grass, poor girl.
Letting your work speak for itself is beautiful. And thank you again for posting each horse's names.

@@suiksnigelet Great observation and it got my curiosity going. When a drone was above three horses in a field, it looked like Bree was with them. 16:50. Is Bree one of them?

Skippy was playing "King of the Hill." Chickens look beautiful. And with no talking,.....it was quiet enough to hear a horse fart.
On the sped up version of the horses working in the field from the drone, the clouds going by making shadows on the ground looked like those funny shadows that you see when there is an eclipse
I love when you talk to us because I learn so much from you. However, a video such as this is a treat from time to time.
Baron and Earl working together, a great sight . The lack of talking was a nice change, but I learn from Jim about working horses, so I am happy when he talks. I also appreciate Brenda’s input.

Sometimes its ok to be silent!! Really enjoyed it! Drone is back, so nice!
Beautiful opening
Love your tie stalls and watering system . No need to talk every video Jim I can see what your doing . Also love the music and drone scenes . 😊😊😊
I enjoyed this! Love the landscaping, the working sounds of the manure wagon and clopping of the horses' hooves, Skippy barking. Sigh, I love country life!
A man and his thoughts and his work. Peaceful ❤
The opening shot is idyllic
Oh a silent video cool some days we just don’t feel like talking just do the daily chores , hello Brenda and Jim always look forward to your videos and get to follow you around the farm which is always a delight to watch the horses work and see skippy running around and the new cow eating her hay. Hope she gets the hang of eating the green grass one day it would help in the cost of feed , thank you for spending some time with all of us ,,so love the music at the end nice choice ❤
Ahh. The farm sounds. Cow and horses munching hay, the sound of the horses pulling the spreader and digger. And the sound of relief while putting the horses in the barn!! I also love the sound of Jim softly telling the horses what he wants them to do. I do enjoy hearing people telling us about what's happening on the farm. A mix is good! Thanks for sharing your day with us.
Hey Jim and Brenda, An absolutely wonderful video of the sights and sounds on the horse farm. Your new opening lettered in Red looks terrific. Pansy the Jersey Cow looks very content chomping on her hay. The chicken are content pecking around the yard. The barn cats look very comfortable resting on the edge of the horse stall walls. The overhead drone footage looked terrific of backing Ken and Duke with the manure spreader into the loose house and then harrowing the oval in the crop field with Baron and Earl. It was a pleasure to listen and watch.
That arial footage of you backing at 12:22 , nothing short of amazing.
I really liked this video , especially the horses eating. For some reason I find it relaxing.
Good morning, ❤ It was nice being w you, even if quiet, just doing your thing. 😊 Love the writing. Kittys seem a lot happier ❤ why a strap under the belly on harnesses?. Nice to see Pansey(?), n chickens too. It was a fast 24 min.😢 love being w yall, every time ❤love seeing horses drink too. Thanks for filming in de fields Brenda❤ w Skippy too😅 love the droning. Wow 😮😅 tanks
Peaceful sights and sounds of the farm, thank you.
Gorgeous intro, “WOW”. LOL, Jim and the horses really know how to make the “crap” fly.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is a really nice video. I love the no talking now and then. The aerial shots of the courtyard and the raking were very cool 👍…next level cool!! Nice production.
Love the new intro
Ken is King!
Hi Jim, will you please make a video if it’s of benefit to all viewers on the tack you use on your drafts? Thank you.

great intro and nice video. I miss the opening music. Seeing JIm do what he does best is priceless.
Nice job with the captions. I still miss your friendly “good morning” and your wish at the end for us to “have a great day.” Enjoyed your unique shots, especially the overhead of backing the manure spreader into the barn. You could really see how Ken is teaching Earl how to do it.
Love your videos and enjoy watching them. Jim working the horses
When I remember the smell from this juvenile earth…wonderful ! ❤
Thank you for sharing this beautiful day on your farm…love the sights and sounds…very peaceful. Nice way to “shadow” Jim and learn by watching and listening. Glad to see that the sweet milk cow has acquired a taste for hay…munch, munch! Greetings from Canada🇨🇦
I could watch Pansy eating all day. It’s so lovely to see her blossom
Was beautiful. Quite a lot of communication going on. Skippy barking, cats communing with Bill, chickens clucking re yummy bugs, Jim giving instructions to the teams. Dressage with draft horses, a perfect serpentine. Unique, from the air. Beautiful video, the meditation and quiet of using horses. Greetings from Australia.
Love the sounds of country farm life😊❤

Felt like a segment on CBS Sunday Morning!
My first thought, Time to plant corn. Love the video. Great perspectives especially drone. Each animal has their own sound that is unique. Very relaxing and peaceful. Take care
These are some of my very favorite videos! I hope to hear more in the future.
The new cow have so beautiful eyes.🥰🐮
Really a great video!! I really like your opening and the new ending! Great work Brenda👍
🤔 Different venue no dialogue not bad , nice aerial shots harness on Ken looking good looking 👀 great 👍
The overhead video of backing the spreader into the barn was great!
I am impressed. Neither one of you accidentally blurted out something during the video! At least not yet!
Beautiful horses Jim I love them and I’m so happy to see them doing their chores, cheers buddy xxxx
I must say that it is so beautiful where you live I would not mind waking up and getting out that early.
Love the opening titles.. Earl is doing so well n grown...wow..amazing what a lil bit of work will do for a young horse...
Lovely Day on the farm. Glad to see you and the horses getting some things done
The intro and outtro absolutely fantastic the drone especially 😊
There's been football and baseball games with no announcers. This is much better ... thanks
I’ve said this before. but, those suffolks Are so beautiful…..Nothing wrong with a non speaking vlog every now and then.

nice one today Jim hard worker that you are glad you had some quiet time whild working thanks for a good one today
I enjoyed the shot of the daffodil flower bed in the mist.
Awesome video. Do what you do best. When you need to talk go ahead and if you don't ; don't. I enjoy either way. Thank you.
A horse comment. 🐎 Saturday was Kentucky derby. My wife and I watched. Without knowing any of the field,I randomly picked horse that turns out finished 4th.So much for that, now back to Earl.
Enjoyed!
Love the drone footage and your work speaks volumes!!!!
Glad to see the Ruminants are happy. K9 wants to do the talking. Hello from the rocky mid-coast of Maine, US Monday, May 6th,2024
Great flic! Silent movie days.! Wrong- we like all of the explanations concerning the horses and the farms daily business
Thank you Jim & Brenda , AWSOME video. 👍😊
Watching you put the harness on your horse I’m wondering if you have to put that together or is it all together when you buy it? It looks complicated to me! Love your channel!😊❤
This was fun too. 😊 sometimes it is good to just watch. 👍🏼
Loved this video. It was so relaxing to watch the farm activities and listen to the noises
Nice stuff, that seems to be working up pretty decent. Hope you get it sowed before another wet spell! The longer I live the more I regret not quitting my slave job sooner and going fulltime at the horses, totally changes your life's outlook once you do. Delivered a load of hay to a neighbour, 2 mile round trip with a team and wagon, stopped to chat for 20 minutes while I was there while the horses dozed in the sun. Back home and just turning them out when another neighbour happenes to walk past and another 20 minute visit. Now just in for some cold roast and tea and over to cut fence posts for delivery tomorrow. Glad to see this video pop up in my feed! It is always a big worry in a wet spring and I sure wish everyone well in their spring planting.
I loved this video very much. Nice to do one like this every now and then. Glad to see Pansy eating hay as probably had to get used to her new environment since being moved. Loved that you showed all the horse's working or not. God bless you Jim and Brenda and keep you safe 🙏 ❤️ 🐎🐕🐈🐖🐄🐂🐔
Jim, I love how you stroke the animals. They know you love them and value them
Looking forward to horse progress days on July 5. Looking forward to meeting you
Love the drone views. Another great video❣️ always enjoyable 😊
It is always good to mix it up 😊
Thank you Father that the mud has dried up a lil bit.
The new opening scenes are beautiful. Early morning on the farm, watching Jim starting his day. Hearing Ken enjoying his hay was nice. I enjoy seeing Ken snatch bites of hay from the hay stack and ambling his way into the barn. Loved the drone footage; so peaceful. Thank you for another watch again video. 😊😊😊
I sure do enjoy your opening that’s a nice eye opener. Plus I beginning to to be able to tell Duke and Earl apart sometimes. Enjoyed a look at the big open spaces that you and Brenda enjoy. I live in a hooped of the Ozarks about all the sky we can see is straight up. My daughter live on a knoll in the valley and she can see a mile plus west but only a quarter to the east as the valley is crossed by a train fill 100 ft high. Hope this levels and drys your seed bed so you can get your crops in the ground ,hay, oats, and corn. TDP
Wonderful without talking. Good presentation.
Living the dream Jim! I think I was a farmer in my last life!
This is your best video ever.
Hi there Jim, thank you for sharing.😊tc
Where has William been miss him like how he helps Jim out on the farm
Nice treat today. Talking is overrated a lot of the time. Skippy is the best supervisor for he keeps his eyes on everything. I wish I had some of his energy and he is a good boy. Thank you Brenda for another great video. I love to hear the sounds of the horses working. The barnyard with the chickens and the cats keeping watch in the stalls. What a treat. God bless and keep safe love your entertaining videos
I like the talking,I like to know what is going on.
That was some wonderful and thoughtful filming...excellent production. lov from south alabama.
Brenda , What a fabulous editing job ! You sure are one talented lady Beautiful farm 😀
Oh, what a beautiful sunrise!
i am always amazed how you back; n the barn and able to stear the wheels with horses..ive always wanted to learn that challenge..ythings are drying out till we get this coming rain,, don't be discouraged,,take some time for yourself after morning chores and see the town boys for lunch at the diner.. can't get burned out ,,summer starts June 12?
Loved every minute of your "silent" video clip !! Sure was different, but in a "nice different" way !! The ending was great with that drone shot !! WOW !! - you guys are becoming quite creative in your video presentations !!
Was fascinating to watch your hands from above while backing the manure spreader into the barn. Could really see how the directions are given to the horses
I enjoyed the horses working.
I loved this photo collage of your farm, animals and chores. I am guessing the aerial views are from a drone. Thank you for the visit to another happier time. Much love from TX.
Looked like a good day on the farm
Saudações do sul do 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 Brasil
I'm not watching your videos as much as usual... Because now there's daylight and it stopped raining so I'm outside myself, going for some new projects
Great video ! Great job backing up !
Lovely video lovely camera work thanks.
Hey, Jim. Why did you go across the field with your Harrow instead of lengthwise
Great camera work and a great video!!! God bless!
I for one would like to hear voices again..I live alone, and I tune in to hear human voices..that way I'm not alone..while I love solitude and the sounds of nature and critters, I feel when I hear others, that there is still life out there, even with everything that is being thrown at us, and vast amounts of people going about their daily routines without noticing a thing, I prefer to pay attention..as always prayers and blessings
Your horse is brilliant
Best video yet.
