I used a bunch of bunny cannons against planters lol. I was on mobile though. I think that they may have been easier to control on mobile.

The first time I ever defeated the twins was with cannons this was back in the 360 days

fun fact: splash damage from the cannonballs goes through the closed door, so at any invasion i just sit in my tall ass box building at the first level, put one cannon on each side and block the doors off with banners, cause apparently mobs can't push the door when it's a banner in the way

Even a single chair is enough to prevent your doors from being broken. A whole hoard stopped by a couple of sticks. Nice

I like how the cannon guy on top sees the middle kill the bottom with such accuracy that he doesnt want to go against that and just points the cannon at himself lol

I remember when these first got introduced in 1.2, they were cool but so awkward, cumbersome, and difficult to use that I never used them for anything, I just wish there was a hand-cannon item that you could use, it would obviously have to be weaker but it would be cool if there was one you could fire cannonballs out of and pierce multiple enemies.

He mentioned the Mech bosses and I gotta say: to me, Skeltron Prime is the easiest mech boss and the twins are the hardest. Meanwhile Golem and Plantera are really, really pathetic.

Yeah. I accidentally killed Skeletron Prime when he spawned on me, and I was unprepared. Didn't even have an arena. Killed him. Destroyer was easy with that hellfire bow thing, but I never beat The Twins.

the twins are easy as hell, destroyer is the hardest but most cheesable, and skeletron prime is pretty easy, but not as easy as twins. that’s my opinion.

We were having trouble with the destroyer so I said “fuck it” so I got a cannon and it got shredded and I felt like a god.

Cannons are kinda nutty if they connect. I started a Skeletron Prime fight with almost every arm GONE.

It actually used to be a meta strat for fighting skeletron prime early hardmode using a cannon. It made killing him take a matter of about a minute, but this was quite a long time ago. Not sure how it would work today, but I imagine not nearly as good as it used to be

when me and my cousin were playing through terraria, i beat the WoF solo and then immediately logged off to check it out together with him...... the instant we logged on the pirate invasion started XD. we got the coin thing, the card and the pirate staff from it

I’ve done the cannon against hard mode bosses, just make a huge line as close as you can next to eachother and face them all up. Then you just gotta spam which ever cannon theyre above

I think it would be fun if they got a re-work, making you sit in them and aim more fluidly at cost of mobility. It could also make way for other weapons like this, and that would be fun for multi - you could fortify your base even more.

Never knew you could launch no-damage cannonballs with wiring! I could use that for some set pieces.

my favorite way of dealing with the goblin army is cannons on the castle walls, it was a wonderful addition to the lava moat.

Re-Logic literally has a loading screen which reads: "Killing bunnies is cruel. Period." And they then they had the audacity to include the SICK joke that the Bunny Cannon is.

This only use for explosive bunnies is setting the free all over you boss arena to get an army

I found it quite good against the hallowed mimic when playing early expert hard mode, as I struggled with the fight and needed to try get the stormbow as early as possible, it worked good because you can choose where the mimic spawns.

the cannon can actually be really good against bosses if you have two players, one sits in honey with other regen items and lures the boss to him, this only works with some bosses but the other player has a cannon lined up, then the cannon user spams the cannon and it can be pretty good

When I played 1.2 in my phone (ogram) I used to deal with mechanical bosses and ogram. I love it

I used the cannon against dreadnautilus. I put myself in some blocks so only the spin attack would sometimes hit me, but the cannon melts it pretty fast when the mini boss is above you.

Only OGs will remember when Stampy tried to use a cannon on Skeletron Prime

I set up a farm for pumpkin moon where you abuse I-frames with honey and spikes, then fire the cannon straight vertical with the kill platform below. When pumpkings show up it hits them twice and it shreds. Easily wave 10.

I used to use cannons to fight lots of bosses. You fire upwards and gravity works its magic. One cannon ball hits it twice and you do this over and over. You just need something to keep bosses that go through walls distracted. So they are best to use for multiplayer.

I have used cannons for the frost moon but i couldnt make it further than the wave where the ice queen comes in. And i tried it like that but i never got something from the ice queens. sad story but cannons are very good for that if you have the right arena where the mobs only spawn below you.

Try to defeat mechs with only cannons. Proceeds to place a mass of them. Aim them all up. Multiple rows. Now gotta go fast with cannonballs. Not all may hit. But some will.

The memories, when I would play terraria with my sister we couldn't defeat planterra (first time ever in hard mode) so I set cannons in the arena for my sister to use because she wasn't good at the game I had turtle armor and would fight her while my sister followed on the many cannons I set up. It was great.

rabbit cannon is the best, i remember when golem was first added to console my world didnt have a temple door so i faught it really early, activated the bunny cannon through a wall a bunch and had golem dead pre mechanical bosses

An upwards broadside barrage against bosses could work. Aim a row of cannons facing the sky, then run pass them with the boss over the cannons and open fire while running pass. 50 plus percent of the barrage should hit the target.

If you're struggling with the destroyer, make a line of cannons on a platform, aim them straight up, and just fire away when the destroyer is above the cannons. Easy way of dishing out hundreds of damage without the need of hard to aquire equipment. It is expensive though

I *might* put a cannon somewhere in my main journey mode world to surprise my friend when I drag her into the realm of Terraria.. I'm gonna have so much fun with all the random stuff in game

I only ever used them during the seige part of invasion events while in my fortress, basically turning them into a one sided tower defence game. Just sit back, maybe grab some friends to join you and anihalate the onslaught of enemies.

i have a story about the bunny cannon. my friend placed it amongst the fireworks on our roof and used it to celebrate anything he deemed an accomplishment. good reforge? cannon time. lucky drop? cannon time. happy we have extra coins? triple cannon time. and dont even get me started on when we beat bosses...

I remember bunnycannon strategies back in the 1.2 days. Now they are all but forgotten...

A mechanism that can't do damage when optimized so you can only use it while standing still. Because standing still is a great idea during boss fights. Brilliant.

we have a massive ship and cannons are super useful if you have a solid platform above you. only good early master hardmode

Cannon is how I beat mech bosses the first time I was ever in hardmode. Fine choice, very pricy. Useful especially for spazmatism when he sits on the same horizontal plane. Shredded his health and let me out-dps the end of the night. Skeletron Prime also stands in predictable spots if you stay still, making cannons useful

Tbh it helped me have fun when I was farming pirate raids and solar eclipses

I remember trying to use these things against bosses like 6 years ago.

Well actually I was playing For The Worthy master with streamer and well we were having a hard time with Skeletron prime, so I got a cannon, and while we were fighting whenever he was in range of it I fired like crazy. My point is I think the cannons are better when you have other people to distract the boss.
