Ive been playing Terraria since 2015 or 2016, and throughout the years I have completed basically every achievement there is, getting awkwardly close the Supreme Helper Minion. I managed to beat Expert mode too many times to count, even beating Master mode once or twice. I know basically every enemy and all game mechanics... I got 3/10

I have not once legitimately beaten expert mode, despite playing for 7 or so years 10/10. I know a lot of niche things from my first playthrough where I'd spend hours doing stupid crap in between bosses for no reason. I somehow got a terra blade, ankh shield, and frostspark boots (playthrough wasn't even started in 1.3. Didn't cheat btw, was on console) I am doing sort of okay with a multiplayer fargo's eternity mode playthrough. We just beat the last mech boss today and I immediately had to leave afterwards before I could craft anything more than a pickaxe axe. Can I just say, fuck boc? Legit worst boss I've ever fought in any game ever. Pretty much any other boss there is some point I feel like I did something wrong. Boc? No, there's nothing there I feel I could improve. Thank god for ancient cobalt enchant.

A bit of the ones that were a bit tricky to me was ones in newer updates since I last played in 2015 - 2017 and only now coming back

Yeah me too! Ive been playing since it first came out on mobile and even watched stampy’s playthrough of it with the big tree. God i need to do that.

For some of them, I didn't know whether or not the fact was true, but I knew the lie was false, which is the only way I got 10/10. Does that count? For instance, in round 5, I wasn't sure if monoliths could disable event shaders (since I haven't used them since 1.3.5), but I knew that drinking water whilst drowning would heal.

yeah it counts, you knew the lie, which in my opinion is better to know than a truth because you know whats false from whats true

For round 9, it does speed up immensly right away after entering hard mode, but after plantera it slows down. Usually to help manage it, I make 4 block wide hellavators prehardmode (6 need the surface) to contain the origanal biomes, although you'll have to make some new ones to block the new evil and hollow biomes created from killing the wall of flesh. Also for #10, the party girl doesn't have harsh lines, which also means its own things.

I got 9 which is really good, I got about 7 of them from when I played the mobile version which was hella difficult compared to the pc version and the other 3 I’ve recently learned about after I came back to terraria 4 months ago

Technically you can buy all the components to craft a grand design from the mechanic, but you still need the tinkerer's workshop to craft the item.

9/10, a few things I used logic based on what I new to eliminate one, however I did miss that walls apparently don’t spread evils or hallow. I could have sworn they did.

I’m pretty confident that after you enter hardmode, world evil spreads faster until you defeat plantera, which after half’s the speed of growth. May of been changed as I swear this was how it worked in 1.3

Evil spread is very slow/nonexsistent at the start. once WOF is defeated, evil/hallow spread is enabled. plantera half's evil spread witch is nice.

Research the shimmer. There's lots of minor upgrades you can get to your player stats through the shimmer, as well as getting some rare items and endgame tools.

The 1st one got me confused. The magic mirror can be crafter, but the grand design needs a ruler which is bought from goblin tinkerer

I have almost 1500h in Terraria and some questions bugged me out so I didn't dit 10 points 1. Ruler was used to craft the Grand Design, wich is sold by the Goblin Tinkerer, this changed not so long ago, i wasn't aware of this 4. Shimmer used to give invincibility, but they changed it a bit after players sploited it to kill daytime EOL 6. Backgrounds DO spread evil biomes/Hallow, specially in the desert biome 7. Noticed the dialogue changes but didn't know that was because of my current gear, so I though this one was the fake for some reason, even knowing the 3th option was fake too because i saw it happening (the wheel just keep spinning in the same place since there's no blocks to run around) 10. The first two i just never heard about, not a big fan of seeds that change the gameplay completely, so never played on them (seeds like fortheworthy and the drunk world are cool)

For some reason i instinctively knew that Plantera halved the spread, i think i read it off the Plantera wiki page and that memory somehow remained when i definitely read it like 2 years ago. Damn, guess i remember terraria random trivia better than my finals

Technically the spread does "speed up" since there is more area that can spread the more it has spread, hence the slowdown after plantera.

@@INyomanPrayanaTrisna well yes, but the rate of spread will seem to increase because the amount of blocks that can spread has increased whereas the actual spread rate time stays the same up until plantera.

10/10, recently beat getfixedboi legendary mode with my friend. We’re probably going to do For the worthy Legendary mode next lol

Dude. After just under 1000 hours of Terraria, I’ve achieved a perfect 10/10! Felt nervous for some, but that worked!

Since I almost exclusively play modded, my knowledge on 1.4 and 1.4.4 especially is very limited, and both of those updates have made major overhauls and changes to how the game progresses as well as mechanics. I would have had a much higher score were it not for those updates, but I believe I got somewhere around 4-6. You should make one for mods like Calamity and Thorium!

4:40 actually in the dessert background walls can spread to blocks and stuff, it’s the only biome which can. So technically there’s 2 lies on that question

I knew there was something off about that one. The desert gets corrupted way too easily/fast

I first noticed the magic mirror recipe while playing calamity. It adds many recipes for things you normally don't craft. Didn't think they actually added it. I also thought of the bone pickaxe for the no stating items one. Chests are everywhere so you got a weapon or accessory and likely some bombs or grenades. It's not that much of a crux.

Bone Pickaxe is a rare drop from a cavern-layer enemy, it's tough trying to get that drop even when you have actual tools to work with. Much easier to just get some surface ores, wood, and stone, or just a bunch of wood for Merchant.

I've literally never played anything below expert mode, but almost every question was about the new update which I know nothing about

I watched this video and didn't even realize this knowledge was unknown to people I got 10 points having around 800 hours (around 250 hours afk). Another thing didn't know calamity death mode was supposed to be really hard it was a little difficult at times but still surprised at how overhyped it seamed.

while I got 7, I feel like the shimmer one should have been specified more. I'm going to personally count it as 8

As someone who grinded most of the achievements, I would know for a fact that water bottles still heal you while you are drowning, because there was an achievement called "unusual survival strategies" or something similar where you delayed death by drinking water.

Despite playing the game since 1.2, i still got a decent chunk of the questions wrong cause they all had to do with shimmer, a relatively new concept

The shimmer is still relatively new and i dont use the shimmer debuff to try to get away from enemies so i didnt know that. I question the walls spreading evil biome as there are types that do spread it that one is a double edged sword

I was only certain that king slime didn't have the lowest health and the luminite tools didn't have the highest power because I knew the other two were true, but I still got 10/10, partially because I've done a lot of research on the wiki to make sure nothing I mod in causes any unforseen problems.

I got 8 but thats because I spend an unreasonable amount of time on the wiki I haven't as much lately, so I wasn't aware of the shimmer debuff change, nor the craftable magic mirror change

You still need the tinkers workbench so it can’t be just the mechanic you need to craft the grand design

10/10 points, honestly I'm surprised myself. I've been playing this game for around 10 years so my score makes sense but I've never actually beat the game, I play classic and spend most of my time building stuff, the closest I've gotten to beating this game is probably Golem. I've also never really deleted a world, I put so much work into my builds, I'd still have the first one I ever played on if I could've kept it; It had this ridiculous base that was built with dirt, stone, candy, ice, wood, living wood, spikes, a different candy, pumpkin, and bones, and man, it was f*ckin' cool, I put a total of around 3-4 whole ass years of my childhood into that world, but sh*t dude, that red f*cking ring, it wiped that sh*t from existence. And it wasn't just me, I played with my brother and sister, and even occasionally with my uncle, we all lost so much that day. Well that wraps up my story, have a nice life.

Well actually, if the guide dies at all while you are in the underworld, it will spawn the wall of flesh, I was caught off guard once because I was just going around exploring the underworld and somehow my guide died up at the surface, I have no idea how he died but then the wall of flesh spawned, actually typing this now I suppose it is possible that I killed a voodo demon and it dropped a guide voodo doll right over lava, but I don't remember any demons being around so I'm pretty sure that's not it.

I conveniently just watched Gungir's video on a certain run so one of the questions was a piece of cake. Other than that some of the questions here were actually kind of hard even with the fact I've played this game for almost 2 years now.. (Still shocked that the magic mirror is finnaly obtainable really easily than praying to the almighty rngods) Also a 5/10 seems pretty legit

5k hours here and the removal of the ruler from the grand design recipe was the one that almost got me It took me a moment but i decided 1.4.4 must have fixed it since they changed the ruler in 1.4, the fandom wiki has also not adapted on the ruler's page, but has on the grand design's page

They didn't want the ruler to be _completely_ useless after the QoL change that made it toggleable all of the time without even having it, so they made it a joke weapon instead. I must say, very nice to be able to measure without having to count individual blocks, because now I don't have to worry that my early game buildings are gonna have the wrong dimensions and have to be redone.

I got 7 points. I would like to mention that the corruption, crimson and Hollow actually DO speed, up, but not after every boss. They only speed up after WoF (and maybe beating all mechs? I don't really remember), but it is then slowed down to half its speed after you beat Plantera and does not change afterwards.

I remember my first expert run taking 5-6 months! Its because i am still not used to the difficulty (given that i played 2 classic worlds). Now i am working on my 3rd expert world just to prepare a little bit for master world.

I Found round 4 to be challenging and relatively unfair, due to the fact that it used to make the player invinsible. I only Got it wrong due to the fact that I believed that Jungle Mimics sounded weird. Respectively, I must say - this is a very good video, and as a “kind” of Terraria veteran, It makes me happy that with videos like this, the Terraria community continues to thrive

I didn't realise the FTW and Zenith seeds actually counted as their own difficulties, so only 9/10 😔

got 8 points, ironically I forgot the easiest ones because I'm always looking for new ways to build and create mechanisms for my world (such as hoik elevators and ones that even make the Old One's Army a pushover even if under-equipped).

10/10. only actually completed the game once on console with a friend and a few times in Journey mode, other than that this is just from watching Terrasteel and a completionist mindset

honestly I felt as if this was too easy, however that's probably because I've been playing this game since before 1.3, done at least one playthrough of every class, gotten almost every achievement besides fishing ones, spent so much time on the wiki, and have seen so many videos on random facts that I guess it makes sense on why I'd know all this

7 out of 10 here. The ones that got me were: Round 1, I could have sworn the Ruler (sold by the Goblin Tinkerer) was required for the Grand Design. Round 4, Lava is supposed to destroy any item with a white rarity or lower (from what I remember at least.) And Round 6, I didn't realize the Skeleton Merchant counted as a villager.

Funny thing about it it says classic mode I am one away from the expert thing but the fact is I still play journey mode I hate going off journey mode journey mode just removes every single bit of grinding

i got 8 points. you didnt specify the "you cant progress without tools" part on round 5 so i picked number 3, and i forgot about the brain of cthulhu - i guess it has more hp if you count the creepers, but the boss itself has low hp. well, the brain part of the human body is really vulnerable round 5 was really confusing

i say he brain of cthulhu has more health than king slime bc the health bar for bosses on the bottom of the screen lowers when you kill the minions and you can kill the plantera claw things but those dont lower the boss health bar

I got 9 points, didn't realize shaken trees could spawn enemies actually. Played around 2000 hours on PC, prob a couple hundred on console days.

8/10 haven't even finished one terraria playthrough. Though it is in Master Mode and this is my first time playing.

got 8/10 because I did basicaly nothing but browse the Terraria wiki on my phone (after speedrunning my meal) during lunch break basicaly every day of either my sophomore if junior year of highschool. lost one because I saw people not taking damage from bosses when shimmer was first added, but didnt see that that got patched. lost another one because I couldn't choose between two awnsers before he made the text on one green, making my awnser void.

I was curious about this trivia, so I tried it. 7/10! I only got 5, 6 and 10 wrong. I was aware I know a lot about Terraria, but I didn't expect to get so many questions right haha Well, I've played throughout the game around 5 times, including modded and secret seeds. Also, I played as melee and ranged, but I have tried mage twice before and I know summoner class to some degree because I use summons as protections in exploration to focus in my goals, so this test indeed matches my knowledge skills.

I started 6 months ago and got an 8 out of ten and just finished my first classic mode play through. (During school I read the wiki to learn info)

i got everything exepct for boss health, i got the game this year and have 600 hours and 1 beat playthrough in vanilla (classic mode) and 1 beat playthrough in. calamity revengeance, and multiple post ml calamity playthroughs

Alright, this sounds fun, I'm game for this. .. I'm writing this as a play-by-play, so I'll keep the answers below the "read more" thing. ... Round one: Welp, don't need to hear the third one, you can craft mirrors now. Round two: Welp, don't need to hear the second two, it generates on the jungle side.. I've had to hunt that crap far too many times to not know that.. Round three: Wait, the second one isn't true.. So that means you CAN make super-wacky-shaped houses?.. I gotta test that some time.. Round four: That one was a little more interesting.. I 'am' aware white-colored-name items can be destroyed, but didn't know it was ONLY them.. I missed that one. Round five: The way you worded the second one makes it the false one, but what you wrote at the end makes it true, that's dirty.. The last one is false. Round six: Okay, that second one is false.. And I HATE that.. Especially since purification powder doesn't work on them, so if you're in pre-hardmode, you gotta hammer them. Wait, EXCUSE ME? What do you mean they don't?.. Oh, that's dirty, you worded it subtly.. "Evil background biomes can't spread corruption to blocks" can be taken different ways, and I didn't figure you meant it literally. I don't feel bad for missing that one, I got jipped. .. Wait "Background walls don't spread biomes".. .. But.. They do.. I've seen it time and time again. Just in my last world, they spread like crazy- Oooh, you mean they don't spread the BIOME.. Only the BLOCKS do.. Bruh.. Wait, you're not counting the brain of cthulu's eyes as its overall health? Double-bruh.. Round seven: Well, the first two are true, so whatever the third one is, is false.. Unless you WORDED IT WEIRDLY OR SOMETHING.. Okay, good, I was right.. Round eight: Okay, first two are true, so last one is false.. Round nine: Second one is false.. Though I 'have' heard that breaking demon altars somehow adds tiny specks of additional corruption across the world.. Round ten: That first one sounds false.. Okay, the other two are true, so it's definitely false. 8/10, but I woulda had 9/10 except you decided that the brain of cthulu has less health than a slime king, on a technicality.. That's not me being wrong, that's you being cheeky, so I'm counting this as a 9/10, lol. Go figure.. I've beaten legendary mode, but I haven't tried/beaten zenith yet.. But I have done multiple "get every item in the game" runs. Guess my journey still isn't over.

9/10 Only cause I misunderstood the first question as you can only FIND magic mirrors in the underground chests, not obtain them.

i've played too much modded it seems, because in modded terraria The Grand Design is crafted with normal ruler which you get from goblin tinkerer instead of mechanical ruler that you can buy from the mechanic as well as all the other parts. 9/10

9/10 I didn’t play so much and know barely anything. My main world is on expert, it also is prehardmode and pre skeletron. Around 62 hours played that world I remember.

6/10 fits me I’ve been playing since a little before the journeys end update

round 3: The guide actually doesn't need to die to lava. He can die in any way, as long as he is touching lava the moment he dies, the WoF will spawn.
