For a lot of poeple it may be. Not sure if I'm in that category, but I'm definitely trending towards the pessimistic side with them right now. Things can change, though.

During the showcase, they did a lot of not-so-subtle telling you how to feel about what they were presenting. In prior showcases, they did more "show" with little tell. It makes me feel like they're scrambling to make sales and hit social quotas, rather than produce an experience worthy of people's time.

One of the points I wish I made in the video is how Bungie’s talking to multiple audiences with each press release. It’s almost like they’re covering themselves with investors more than catering to their fans and… I don’t know if that’s a healthy thing, to try and do both at the same time. @@K1NGELJAYTV The phrase "Too Big to Fail" comes to mind when thinking about modern Bungie. If they don't make money their investors might sell off their equity agreements, if they do their investors might request more of the same. The former is bad for established pillars of our little community like PvP since change is constant by ways of needing to innovate exotics and subclasses that might make the long-standing framework unenjoyable. The latter lends creedance to the "don't over deliver" stance that was taken in the last two years of content drops, which has alienated new as well as core and hardcore D2 players. I feel like a lot of people would do well to let things fail. If the game ended before a "satisfying end to the light and darkness saga" I still would have had a blast playing since Season 10/Shadowkeep, up until Lightfall. Right now it feels like a book which an author has no idea how to finish the story that would be meaningful and unique, so they're throwing in with whichever is the loudest activist group that will dogmatically defend their product. Sure, it makes money now, but the cost is killing the creativity and enjoyment that was long standing at the studio prior to Halo leaving for 343. The investors, the activism, and monetization are all a malignancy in the body of work they call Destiny. Edit: I'm not personally aggrieved by their conduct, Destiny was a hobby I picked up while the gyms were closed during the pandemic. But, they are fuckin up.

I'm not surprised they bottled the story bc the general manager of Destiny sat in front of a room full of ppl and pretty much told everyone the story isn't important to them, drip feeding content is, using FOMO and sunk cost to keep player retention is. When there is a 1hr long video of him talking about the game and why it is the way it is, its stomaching turning. That one video had me going from looking forward to Final Shape to "fuk this dude and the game.".

Man. I get that. There’s some things now that they’re implementing to address the FOMO, but it’s hard to not think or wonder about why they weren’t already in the game to begin with. Appreciate you taking a second to comment!

personally i enjoy what i saw, i'll definitely be pre ordering at some point, but i would like to hear a bit more first before i go down that route

My fear for finale shape is that we are buying $100 loading screen. If the new destination is just reimagined versions of D1 planet areas of our destiny journey over the years then I won’t be surprised if final shape is nothing more then bungie selling D1 content back to the community.

Hmm just speaking o your thoughts of the supers but i truly believe the titans got the most imaginative super for warlocks they got a nurffed version of their d1 super just not being ale to self rez but pretty much shot for shot copy. With hunters having a somewhat new super but basically a different version of the d1 super now just not being a roaming super but giving us a Teleport. With the titans being brand new and yet also looking the most broken in a team environment but other than that. jaded D1 player from the start here. lost all my friends that i started this journey on to other games. so not gonna lie Becoming Legend sounds lonely and boring asf now a days. So the more I think about it, I just think Bungie feels that weapons are Titan's "identity" for supers, so they just lean into it. I still don't think it's that imaginative, but I might change my mind as we get closer. I guess we'll see. But I will say this. I'm VERY GLAD Warlocks didn't get self-res back. I just didn’t realize it meant inside the drawer. I thought it meant through the traveler to get to the different location.

Small small disagreement on the new supers bit around 4:13 . Didn't warlocks just get radiance from d1? Like titans are getting a brand new super, sure it's throwing another weapon, but it's something new at least.I honestly don't remember what hunters got, but it's probably something new Rq edit, forgot to mention, I wholeheartedly agree with the rest of the bits that I've watched.

I’m not a Warlock main so at the time I recorded this (which was immediately afterwards) I was focused on the “solar buddy” part and it wasn’t until I watched it again that I saw that 😂 That’s a fair point. Dude, I don’t really think people are complaining about the true that much I mean sure if there are outliers complaining about aspects of the two bottom majority of the complaint regarding D2 is the over monetization they agree Jeff I mean it’s not even like they’re just asking a lot of money. What is the kid you to open the cash store at least on a daily basis everything and that’s big do revolves around getting you used to spending money. I made a wall level from just starting out of the level 40, but seriously compare them to monetization method cash shop for one that’s been through cash shop here in the grass of integrate Jeff, the backpack, consumer, do you wanna thing you usually have to buy a bundle or wait for that thing to come up on rotation seem to meet a quick look at Doug you could buy any item individually in the D1 cash shop Just had to buy a bundle of vial of silver and then get the item and buy it right I I I’m not really certain there weren’t any like they were all bundled shit where you got a buy the whole bottle we get that one item but I didn’t notice that, but in any case, did it look like a way more consumer friendly like you’re at the grocery store looking at the boxes of five certain food you want deciding which one you want that’s what the cash shop look like it look like you can buy the exact box that you want Now they were the Lulu boxes that’s actually has Luke boxes single a bundle of three and a bundle of five and then it looks like she has a rotating shade or some kind of special shade or maybe I don’t know I didn’t. I didn’t buy it off for the Lou boxer, so I don’t know what channel but those are easily avoidable, because they’re not on the kiosk where everything else says kiosk is shader and then emo. It’s at horn been sparrows I’m ornaments. They’ll all all the various things new by to customize. There were closer than some other stuff. I didn’t look that quote but then look at the endgame currently monitor patient All the things you need to buy stuff and game on desperate to most of that boils downtown off one currency in Destiny want and it’s legendary marks why do I need 14 currency to buy each and every day why do we need engrams for every goddamn different than you do I mean OK why do you need to get grams at all except to say why did you call them? I am incredibly not excited for The Final Shape, the lack of emotion after this showcase worries me for this expansion. The Cayde 6 reveal feels like a tone-deaf response to people complaining about the issues of the games. It also feels like all the work into the character of Crow was a complete waste, I am almost willing to bet money that his character is not gonna pop up again with any story elements for the next couple of years now. Once again it felt like everything was put for the Warlocks and Titans was a total oh crap we have three classes and not two. The traveler map feels lazy "It shows where you've been in your journey" feels like an excuse to not make new maps in the game. This season of The Witch feels like setting up the new villain for the next few years, cause that whole "dark timeline" had Eris as the main bad with all the witch powers...

It could definitely lead to Eris being a wild bad guy in one of the later episodes. And although she's one of my favorite characters, it makes sense. Almost EVERY other timeline had her becoming the big bad, didn't it? I don't want to harp on the bad (I did that enough on the video lol), but there's a lot of areas here for improvement, and I'm going to hope they surprise us with something incredible. We'll see. Heather and from your title of it for the Nother I’m quitting video and good I don’t like D2 anymore the Casavana station, both endgame and out of game and with cash or internal currency when compared to be won it’s ridiculous, so I’m playing D1 but I didn’t feel like you know I had to go out and make a video for the world explaining myself make a lot of people feel the same way about the Jew Dr. Jeff Dolittles people should go jump in the Dewon and look what it is today. Look at the average shop notice you can buy individually pretty much anything in there. There’s only one currently so her father is glimmer, but you don’t really use large glimmer for anything because simple things that you spent all of your glimmer on my fountains are free you just require them and you could see exactly what each of them are before you get them, but it doesn’t matter because they’re free. I didn’t cost shit, that’s good you want to you should be ashamed of where they went entire day revolves around you spending both and Dave and cash currency and keeping you there and tell you do where is I think the one is more revolved around fun gameplay

Seriously dude if you’re set up with problems and need to go play, do you want for a while check it out, do you want David motel you’re playing and you won’t realize first fall you’ll realize real quick do you want it is harder. Do you have to think about what you’re doing you don’t just run and smash and kill everything you literally have to work for it you’ll figure out that a lot of things that you take for granted in the June that you don’t like you just put up with it like having to buy brownies don’t exist, a lot of things that are a pain in the ass on a PS3 like I wanna go to orbit before going somewhere they don’t matter anymore cause the hardware is so much better than it did. It just doesn’t take any time I mean I’ll be at fries and take five or 10 seconds to go to orbit and then drive 10 seconds to go down to the next planet or the next location so that being something that every thought was great in B2 that you don’t have to do that it doesn’t matter anymore because we have new hardware, you’ll you’ll find lots of things that you didn’t even realize you don’t like in D2 don’t exist in D1

I mean... by the look of their staff, half of them can't even figure out if they're boys or girls. Figuring out a good close to the franchise is way too much to ask from them
