There's a difference between an ice age and a Snowball Earth.

Gives me chills every time this theme tune comes on after the short narration that includes how many cars the train has. This hole series is one to remember and should be flushed out as it could contain so much stuff. Such a winner...

In my personal opinion, I like the Season 2 Main Theme better than the Season 1. It has more of the "you're in another world, 1,034 cars long" vibes.

I think both season's soundtrack have purposely different tunes and work well. The first was more synthy and mysterious but this one tells you shit is about to get real.

a song about a train has no business being this much of a banger

My first thought when listening to this intro was about how it's like a train is actually going past on the tracks, it not only sounds really cool musically, but it fits the theme of the story perfectly.

The moment when it appeared again in S3E10 - i knew this episode gonna blew my mind!

Im not sure if this one is better then the Season 1 Intro but its still so goddamn good...guess theyre equal...also those "da-dumps" sound like the Train driving over the messy track...which really i like...

I think it's more fitting for this season. A lot more action filled and dark. Season 1 intro was also amazing though

I thought I was losing it for a bit there as the intro music kept changing. Turns out. They did a different mix for every episode.

I noticed this too for the first season. Episode 1’s intro was kind of muted but by episode ten it was a full-blown orchestral version that really drove in the magnitude of what had occurred over the last nine episodes on Snowpiercer.

When i listen to this and i close my eyes i see 2 trains, 1 a thousand and 1 cars strong and the other 40 long. The one is running, the one is chasing. Raging steel serpents charging off on in a white world.

Snowpiercer was 994 cars long when Big Alice came into the picture

Wilford Remembered His ideas at 7-9 years old and made it real

The deeper bass makes it much better than the S1 intro.

I wish the theme was longer in the series

I'm really enjoying snowpiercer but can't help but get midly irritated by the fact that snowpiercer isn't actually a perpetual motion machine. It has an engine which has to remain running 24/7. If it was a perpetual motion machine, it would use gravity to maintain speed by having ascents and descents, with each descent giving it enough speed to get to the next ascent and over the top. THAT would be a perpetual motion machine. Using an engine means it's not a perpetual motion machine. A perpetual motion machine is defined as a "hypothetical machine that can do work infinitely without an external energy source. This kind of machine is impossible, as it would violate either the first or second law of thermodynamics, or both". Therefore snowpiercer's engine is the "external energy source"
