I think this guy is feeling more love than depression

When my wife was dying of cancer, we used to lay on our bed listening to this and other songs which we had memories attached to. Few weeks later she went into a hospice and 27 days later she died. Now I lay here thinking and thinking and hoping that there is an afterlife - and we find each other there. RIP Honey. Love you always xxx

When i was a kid, me and my dad used to listen to this in the car radio whenever he drops me off for school. In 2017 we found out that he had brain tumor, he battled it for 1 year and in 2018 he died. So every now and then ill listen to this song when i miss him thinking that he's right next to me. I held my husband in my arms while he took his last breaths. For 21 years we fell asleep holding hands. He did not die alone in his own arms. Five years ago and the moment is in a special safe place in my heart. His last words were I don't know how heaven works, but I'll keep an eye on you.

A fond memory this song has always brought me is when I was a kid in elementary school, I'd sit on a grassy hill with a friend at recess or a family member outside home or at a park, and I looked up at the huge blue sky, watching puffy clouds float into various fun shapes. We'd point up and say a cloud looked like an elephant, or a dog, or an angel, or whatever it looked like. The grass felt nice. It was bristly, yet soft and cushiony and cool on a warm day. The smell of grass was refreshing and lively. All I have to do is listen to this song to relive it again.

I used to listen to this back in the day, middle school/high school, idk anymore. MatPat actually brought it back for me. It's crazy to me that it applies to me when it's most needed. Still in shock. Had to listen.

yeah, it was beautiful to think about his proposal/wedding to this song and just how much they love each other, how connected to her he is in life and plans to be in death. and the way those images intertwined with my personal experiences with the song and past memory listens, it just felt like a little something more

My brother took his own life his 17 years ago and this was one of the songs at his funeral, though I've never listen to it in full until now. I was only 12 at the time and he was 23 so I always thought he was so much older than he was. Now at 28, I realise how young he really was and wish that I had the opportunity to speak to him, let him know he was loved and that it wasn't the only option. Maybe we'll laugh about it together in the afterlife, but I'm always thinking about you Mark.

Im 14 years old and I lost my mother to cancer a few years back and this was our song. Its been hard through the years but today I finally listened to it again and it brought back so many memories I didnt know I had. I know I have an angel in heaven right now. Rest in peace momma❤

Your mom will always be watching you. Go through the process of grief. Through being the key word. It happens in stages and it will be there throughout your life. That's because it's a testament to life. I lost my dad and 1998 and all these years the first few months being the worst after he passed, but I still have my moments where all of a sudden I just grieve him. And I'm grateful for all of the memories!

Beautiful song connecting me to my father, grateful to have him and my mother

This song means a lot to me as it serves as a way to connect to my mum. She passed away when i was 6 and i didnt really know her. I dont remember the sound of her voice, her personality, her favourite things. All i have is what im told and this song is one of those things, it was a song she really liked. A few months ago i was on holiday with my girlfriend and we were in the car driving to where we were going to spend the day when this song came on the radio. Now, im someone who doesnt really feel upset about my mum because i didnt feel much loss and i was too young to understand what was happening, i just tend to make jokes to make everyone feel more comfortable about it. However, this time i started crying and to me it didnt feel like it was because of her, it felt like it was because it was a sad song; my girlfirend seems to think otherwise though. So I think this song has showed me that maybe ive got some issues to work through but it will always be an amazing and beautiful song

My daughter lost her mother at 13 and she's 20 now and has a recording of her voice and says dad it doesn't sound like her I don't remember. for me it does because I was with her over 23 years in my opinion your in pain of losing her u have to learn to live with the pain it never goes away even though u don't remember much

The Fray, Snow Patrol, Linkin Park, Nickel Back, Five for Fighting- all amazing musicians that have been long forgotten cause of that crap we hear on the radio today. These artistes are true and wholesome. They're what we should be hearing on the radio now. Some of these I haven't heard since I've been in first grade. They bring back so many memories which make them even better. This is real music. Who else agrees?
