When I lived in Jamaica Plain, Menino had decreed no parking savers. Said they would be picked up by the trash trcuks. Challenge accepted. I put out an old CRT television. Trash can't pick it up, it needs a special pick up. Game set match.

They need to do there what they do here in one city near me. Lots of older homes with no off street parking they have lots available for residents to use during storms. They will have a street parking ban, they will announce it on radio, tv, online. If you park on the street, ticketed and towed. You can't clear streets properly with vehicles everywhere! It works good here. The city needs to make lots available close by for residents for free. 😊

I laughed so frigin hard he’s doing it 90 miles a hour up and down snow blowing because u have it on fast forward omg you guys gave me a good laugh! I just started watching ya’s not long ago. See, i live in the Mojave Desert, not far from Death Valley...and in Dec. 2008, we ended up getting like 12-14 inches of snow almost overnight. Imagine our suprise....to even get rain here, is very rare. So if yall are having that much trouble where youre used to snow, imaging the hot mess it was here! And we have lots of steep and hilly roads in our area as well. It was insane....lol. The one saving grace though, is that we already have fleets of plows, for the sand though. 😂😂😂

in my state its a misdemeanor to plow, or snowblow snow into the roadway.... and I find it funny that they allow streetside parking.. here there are parking bans during the winter months no parking on public roadsides past 6pm during a snowstorm. vehicles get towed at owners expense.

NJ? Worked for a Town in NJ for 17 years and hated to see people throw the snow into the cleared road....BUT.... there were always two kinds of people. The ones like this amazing neighbor, and the ones that just didn't care. If I saw someone actually trying to move it all to the side after blowing it into the road I would come on by and take it away. If the person just threw their entire driveway out into the road after I had it plowed and salted, depending on my mood and how many hours I had been out there...I'd either put it all back into their driveway +some. Or I'd leave it and let it turn to ice. Never called the cops even though I could have. Figured they are making me work hard, I'm going to make them work harder.

Now parking on the street, that's another story. Where I worked everyone had their own large driveways so there was no reason to be parked on the road. Let me say this first. My people, loved how I plowed their roads. Curb to curb, black, and wet the entire storm. Perfect shaped rounded corners, never blocked a cross walk (pushed up and over) always used the blade to carve out around the hydrants. So when someone parked on the road I knew they were new so I gave them two chances. Again, never wanted to hurt someone in the wallet so I never got the cops involved....but.... I'd beep the horn as a warning on my first pass. First pass up the other side I'd stop and lay on the horn. If it still wasn't moved when I was doing the curb pass on their side....I really hoped they owned a good strong shovel. I would straight blade for a good 1-2 property lengths then push right up to the back of the car. I'd take the curb pass from the opposite side and blend that nicely along the side. Then take both side curb passes and stack the front. Might not be nice but I gave 2 warnings. 🤷‍♂️

I have that exact same blower if it's the Cadet 26" X2 .. I have been totally impressed with it over one season .. it starts so easy I don't even use the electric, just 1 or 2 pulls .. the throwing range is very good and I also have the double headlights .. I usually work at night so I also wear a headlamp .. I have debated whether to drain fuel tank for storage .. or keep it full .. and last spring I filled it with stabilized gas containing no ethanol .. kept it full all summer, ran it briefly once a month on cool mornings to move fresh fuel in carburetor .. and this fall it started on second pull. I also noticed I need to change the aluminum oil drain plug "compression washer" with each oil change to keep that thin oil from dripping, I bought new washer set and that solved problem .. excellent video

I used it this year and Still working Great, I have many of snowblowers so whatever one is close is the one i go with most times, lol Cheers Dizzy.

What they should do is have everyone park their car in a big parking lot the night before a storm this way they can have 2 trucks plow both sides of the road at the same time. Its much faster and efficient.

cool that your doing the sidewalks and drives but here, if you blow snow or shovel it onto the roadway you will get fined a good chunk of cash from the cities, most places in Canada wont allow snow to be plowed or shoveled onto any street. You have to find a way to keep it on your own property no matter what. With the snow we get here, it gets real hard when the snow banks get up to five or 6 feet high and then it snows again. You end up with no place to put it but they are seriously strict about it , especially Toronto and Montreal.

Be careful with super heavy slush and really packed snow. If its too heavy it will break the snow blower.

ya we also got 8" - 10cm on Monday & it ended Monday Night but Sunday Night before The Storm it was as Clear with out a Cloud to be seen That's The Calm before The Storm. also I Like Your Snow Removal Equipment i.e. half Ton Trucks with Plows on The Front. in The meantime You all Please Stay Safe This also includes all at The Worcester Fire Dept. as well.

I feel for ya but my neighbors complained either way when I lived in city. They complained bc I didn't do my walks in morning. People would kick/drag snow onto their shoveled walk. So I started doing them before I left. Then they complained I wake them up.

Hey Dizzy, are you near Vale street? Back in the real late 80s very early 90s my boyfriend and I at the time knew some people who lived up there. They used to gather a big group of people and play Dungeons and Dragons for hours in their living room. The game wasn't really my bag, but I used to hang out there anyway. In the summer time, there used to be an ice cream truck that would visit the neighborhood after 10pm. This guy was the shit! You could get real fresh made sundaes, banana splits, Slush puppy drinks, you name it, he had it, as well as the usual factory made ice cream things like Drumsticks, popsicles, rockets. His prices were pretty reasonable. We would hear him come up the hill and every one would go nuts and some of us in the group would go out there with a list and money we had from others and get all this stuff for ourselves and others. It was a pain in the ass to go back up the stairs trying to juggle a whole bunch of orders! Other people from the street would come out too. That guy made a pretty penny on Vale street. I thought it was awesome, never heard of an ice cream truck coming out after 10pm before or since. It was perfect for us night owls. I wish I could remember his name. Imagine a bunch of young adults going nuts like a bunch of little kids when we heard the ice cream man coming! LOL Good times back then. 😄🍦🥤🍦🍨
