I think a plow blade on the front works better than just the grader blade in the middle.

That is true until you have too much snow to push and need that power to pull the grader through the snow. We have the attachment available but don't use it much up here

I'm in nova Scotia. Been plowing snow with a motor grader for ten years, with and without the front plow. Always with a wing on the side. I rather having the front plow on and when I get a path made I'll then use my mould board to scrape the hard pack where people drive over the snow before its plowed.

Grew up in central NY lake effect snow belt, east of Lake Ontario… not sure why the white 4x4 would be challenged getting out of the way, especially if y’all just push some of that snow away from the front?

Our HOA pays the contractor to do it. 12 miles mountain roads, no guard rails, steep drop-offs from 10'-200', road Narrows to 10' in places, to get a bond from USFS to plow the road is very very costly.

Yeah that was my issue too - had a 4x4 quad with a front winch that raised/lowered my 6’ static/manual adjust blade, as well as a JD 4x4 garden tractor w/ cage and snow thrower… one for the wide open albeit hilly/curvy driveways and one for clean-up and sidewalks/dog walking paths into the woods whilst my kids were infants, I’d sometimes do my whole 5 homes/10 acres cul de sac

Yep, works to make traction and to melt snow and ice, it will keep working down to the ground, when snow covers it, that will melt faster. Thank you

Well I guess what you don't see is the nearly 13 miles of steep mountain roads, winding, narrow roads with up to 250' drop offsn no guard rails, it may snow 24" here but get winds going and have 4 foot drifting, and yes he has better operators for sure. They also have different adds like plows for front and buckets to add upon request. Guy been in business for 40 years in these parts. Our HOA pays for them to plow the Caretakers out.

About 2K, 25 miles of Forest Service Road. Steep drop offs, narrow winding road, no rails, rock-slides are common, frozen overflow, fairly harsh

Works them them for 30 years, what do you have? Our HOA pays for it. I know they have different attachments available for it. Everyone wants a front blade, seen it not work up here so good when snow is deeper than the blade, grader can only go about 6 or 7 mph tops
