Here in north/central/west Montana (east side of the divide) winter is approaching. We didn't get a lot of snow last year and it was in September/October and nothing much after that. This year I am hoping for a LOT of snow. I have my winter truck all ready to go, 4 studded snow tires, sand bags over the rear axle, tow rope, sleeping bag, coal shovel, extra socks (electric with rechargeable batteries), some dried fruits and nuts and just for shits and grins I got a set of chains. AND my dash cams front and rear. I hope I can get some good footage of these cowboys in their fancy schmancy new $60 or $70 thousand dollar trucks with their factory "all season" tires slipping and a sliding. As soon as I get some footage, I'll send it your way. Wish me a LOT of snow this winter. I am READY.

Drove a garbage truck for 42 years. Those trucks have a bad weight distribution problem. You can get stuck on the level until the weight of the load moves over the rears. Rear load truck are much better but you don't see as many these days.

It's likely the traction control brought the car to a stop trying to keep the wheels from spinning. Sometimes you have to let the wheels spin to keep your momentum. I could not get up my driveway in my Pontiac Grand Prix with the traction control on. It would always bring me to a stop before I got to the top of the driveway. If I shut it off and allowed the wheels to spin, I could get up the hill with ease.

Dizzy: Fun as it us to watch and to listen to your observations and comments, I do have to ask you one thing. WHY is that intersection so detrimental to driving when it snows? I also enjoy puzzling out the tire tracks when the 4-way is clear of traffic. - BG (studded winter tires on our minivan)

I'll repeat my remark on another of Udizzy's videos... a lot of people are generally incompetent drivers and should never have gotten a driver's license. It's annoying to see many of them change from basically nice people to absolute monsters behind the wheel...
