To be fair he had a big idea how much. It was obvious, winning a ranking title, at 17, that he was going to be a legend. The only surprise was that he didn’t dominate ala Hendry in the next few years and for a long time didn’t live up to his potential.

@Wayne Anthony Holmes all you've gone on about is the crucible and time he did it whats time matter the tour is miles better than it was back then. doesnt really matter how long it takes or what age you win your first .. ronnie won the UK championship at 17 youngest player ever to win a triple crown event and it was hendry he beat..and ronnie 30 years as pro anyway and hendry 33 Ronnie's win percentage 74.78% hendrys 68.59% frames won ronnie 61% hendry 58.6% maximums 15 ronnie 11 hendry over 1100 centuries ronnie hendry 774 .. they played each other 51 times with out the Premier league draws and ronnie won 30 to hendrys 21... ronnie as most centuries at crucible 184 hendry 127 and hollds every record in all other triple crown events so he's 1 behind with world titles.. wow 👏 .. and am sure if you look and youtube ronnie as said since that he is the best and every snooker player says he's the best player I've seen 99% of them you look that up on KZread lol 😆..anyways leave ya to state your next story about hendry lol.

@@hafizmuqeem2766 hardly the start of a new era then! Ronnie only ever won back to back titles once, in 2012 & 2013. He never had an era of domination but more a career of consistency that started here in 1994 and continues almost 30 years on today.

@@royalty4958 so why did Hendry win in '95, '96, '99 and beat Ronnie in the semi finals in '99 & '02? Think about it, in '02, Ronnie was a defending champion and was 26 years old, Hendry 33! Every era can say the same thing; the previous era was weaker. We can't judge Hendry for when was born, surely?

You knew when was 14yo winning junior pot black how good he was going to be. The greatest player ever.

Because all opponents have either personal problems (Selby) or are in bad form (Robertson,Brecel) will it probably happen! Although O'Sullivan isn't playing so well like all pretend he would do. But all O'Sullivan hardcore fans will pretend that he is playing his best Snooker ever!!😂😂😂 That's when Snooker is dying if an 48 year old well past his prime winning all 3 triple crown titles in a single season!!!

This is the game I think i be came a Ronnie O'Sullivan fan he just blue me away with his snooker I could see he played a different game to anyone else

Imagine what Ronnie would have accomplished if he hadn't had the substances issues and mental health problems. Frightening to consider, but he'd probably have at least 3 more world championships and another 12 ranking titles. There were months and months where he didn't even pick up a cue or consider practicing. So many missed tournaments he elected to pass up. What a shame.

I don't wish bad on people's lives but I think if he hadn't had the bad perhaps he would have been more content with what he had and retired earlier. I'm not big on what if because it could actually go the other way.
