if hendrys cue didnt get broken in 01 he wouldve won 3 or 4 more worlds easily

Two greatest snooker players of all time...I was fortunate to watch Hendry live among others. I am looking forward to watch O'Sullivan as well...

Ronnie most likely will win another couple of world titles and rightly so go down as the greatest ever. But Hendry was an innovator when he first appeared on the scene. Pure attacking, taking on long reds that no one else would, using the blue or black to split the reds way earlier in a frame than most players before him. Paved the way for Ronnie.

If Ronnie has a good year everyone is in trouble. Im not a Ronnie fan, I'm scottish and Hendry is my hero but theres just no argument anymore, Ronnie is the best ever.

If I remember correctly Ron use to have problem occasionally with his long potting but has found out with help that when sighting he was slightly off but now he's back playing very good and his long potting is astounding making it very hard to beat him because if he gets into the area around the highest colors he only occasionally misses because his position play is so good you would think that he had pleased it by hand if you didn't get to see the white traveling around the table

Fool ready my comment carefully. I did not say Ronnie never beat him wjen h3 was at his peak bcos he did. But the 93 uk championship would not be what I call a thrashing. Anyhow the h2h is misleading cos Ronnie beat Hendry many a time and in minor tournaments when Hendry was way past it.

Weak era in which Ron reached 0 World Titles and reached 0 World Finals. Or if we include 1993-2002 1 World Title/1 World Final in which Hendo won 5 World Titles and reached 7 World Finals. 0 World Title for 6 years 0 World Finals for 7 years. But it must be the era though. Keep repeating yourself.

Hendry man……… 7 world titles in 10 years . Was he that good? Was it decline in competition? And the big question what happened in that man’s life to take the desire away? So good and could have done so much more in snooker. We will never know the true effect fame and wealth have on you until it happens. It effects everyone differently. I would sure love to see hendry find that old style again and see some more epic battles. 🤞 . Thank you for the epic matches and domination hendry hope to see it again

i used to work with somebody who had only ever seen hendry play toward the end of his career and he happened to watch hendy play o sullivan in an old match when hendry was at his peak- he could not believe how good he was- he thought it was commentators exaggerating as hendry is their pal- personally i always thought that hendrys temperament swung it in his favour as to who was the greatest

@@CesarMuroya I only wish I had a name! The BBC always used to stock up on Welsh commentators for the Welsh Open. That's why Darren Morgan, Dom Dale, Terry Griffiths and co all get outings for that tournament (to this day). It was all live on BBC Wales and I guess image was important.

@Eton xcess well hendry did beat ronnie in 1999 wsc semis or not. so what kind of argument he can not win once new ones emerged. even 2002 he lost in the final so not as if he vanished 😬. regarding ego i have not seen bad sportsmanship from him. besides one of the key elements to judge a player 147 which is hardest thing as snooker player and hendry with 11 is atleast second best player of all time.

@Wayne Anthony Holmes snooker is about how good you are. Compared to table tennis for example each shot can have a different outcome on how the opponents act and respond. The only chance a other snooker player has is on themselves making the correct shot all the time.
