    Sick!!! Murder mullet for Halloween! Would be cool to have a pumpkin to! Maybe a green back, orange belly and yellow/gold flakes. Call it jack-o-lantern 🤗

    Love your videos but I am curious on how you work the nlbn mullets. I have tried them multiple times with no luck. I was told to use a loop knot to get better action but that didn't seem to help

    How do you work the nlbn mullet. Is it a twitch and pause cadence, or are you walking it. I picked some up, just got to find the Bkk hooks for them

  • @RyanBfromNYC
    @RyanBfromNYC9 ай бұрын

    The hardest thing I experienced using the mini mullet was getting a hook set in the fishes mouth. I got smashed but didn’t connect. I am gonna try either one of those weighted hooks or a steady retrieve if I’m fishing it weightless. Thanks for this video 🙏🏼

    Yup It can be tricky, gotta consider the snook need to actually catch the bait while its moving and sometime snook just miss. If you’ve ever fished with a topwater with 2 treble hooks fish still find a way to pop the lure and avoid the hooks. Just how fishing is sometimes.

    Should/can you use a Slammer 3500 with a Fenwick HMG 7'6" with smaller baits? Should I go for a 7' instead? I have a smaller Toadfish brand setup and I wanted to get something to accompany it. I bought a few NLBN 4" mini mullets and some jig heads with 3"paddle tails from your suggestions and wanted a good setup to catch reds inshore around Charleston SC. What is your opinion?

    @@justin_menendez I really appreciate the the reply. I’ll have to wait for a 7’ fenwick HMG to come back in stock. Almost everywhere I look has them sold out. Awesome content. I look forward to watching your videos and learning different techniques. I wish I would have gotten some of those murder mullets when they dropped. Hopefully NLBN will drop more soon. Have a great one.

    Justin, I’m wondering what the difference would be utilizing fluorocarbon-vs-Mono for leader on inshore fishing? I have not really noticed much difference utilizing both in different situations but targeting the same species. Great vid and descriptions/techniques, Keep Them Rods Bent!

    Flouro is harder and stiffer than mono which helps it to be more invisible, mono stretches more and to me seems more forgiving. I use mono for that reason plus it is much cheaper.

    Capt CA has a few really good videos and recommendations on this topic on his Flats Class KZread page. Fluoro is useful for specific scenarios but it’s not the end-all be-all that the marketing hypes it up to be
