Since it's mostly a reaction strike, what about nose hooking the bait? Owner twist lock, nose hook with your favorite razor sharp j-hook that you'd use for live bait. So much plastic on the Lil Mullets, I've seen several videos of guys missing and losing fish using swimbait hooks. Killer blowups, awesome footage!

That’s actually a very efficient way to hook up on em. You don’t really need a worm hook. I use a circle hook and nose hook flukes and I catch everything and barely every miss them cuz the circle hook does the work for me

I use loop knots for everything.

Take your pliers and bend the hook point up just a touch so it sticks slightly up off the back of your bait. Some of those fish missed completely but this should help your hook up ratio

You need to try them out with a 6/0 Owner Beast Hook. That wider gap really helps on the Lil Mullet I think.

Have you ever thought about dangling a treble hook right below the weight? For a better hook ups because I have the same issue with that little mullet and my Hook set. I’ve seen somebody else do that I’m gonna give it a try

NLBN is working on a hook right now to solve some of the hookset issues. A hook thats strong and fits the lil mullet perfect.

All my lures are tied on a loop knot. I used a FG knot to tie my braid to my mono or Fluor line.

Finally figured out what NLBN stood for. I blame the Polk County Public School System for my stupidity. Both degrees from Florida Southern didn’t help either. My hope is the Redfish in the Altahama River (Brunswick, GA) haven’t seen the NLBN baits yet.

7:35-8:00 no disrespect or anything I’ve been watching you channel for the longest time and love every post but why are you shaking so much is everything alright man or is it the adrenaline from that beast of a snook🤘

The front of the thing gets worn out after you re rig it twice making it unusable n god for bid you skip it into the piling, Thing will be ruined.. and you have to adjust it after almost every cast. Really it’s how the twist in ruins the front of it so quickly that gets me.
