hi larry. do you still own that gorgeous blonde? the cutting horse you bought for more than you planned to a couple of years ago. he is likely worth a fortune now. i fell in luv with him. question: a lot of bittless riding now it seems. what do you think about it? thankyou for your podcasts.

They are illegal at the shows. Plus they really aren't safe to use unless you have a very willing horse that has no desire to act up.
What are your thoughts on heavy weight snaffles. One of mine that I’ve used in the past is a three piece loose ring weighted. The reason I’ve used it is the amount of pre signal I feel it gives and it’s not as sharp as the thinner lighter bits. That being said I am currently using a lighter 2 piece snaffle with d rings. I am in constant work with getting my hands slower and softer.

Use the bit that works best for you and your horse. Watch my video titled, "What Good Hands Are". Softness of your hands may be misplaced.
