RECIPE NOTES FOR MAKING THE BEST SMOKED SALMON EGG MUFFINS:
- Egg muffins can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- For longer storage, make sure your container is freezer-safe, and freeze the egg muffins for up to 3 months.
- You can use whatever type of cheese you enjoy best with eggs. My favourite is cream cheese, then crumbled feta, followed closely by shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
- The muffins deflate as they cool.
- Grease you muffin tin extra well, especially if your pan doesn’t have a non-stick coating.
- Using reusable silicone muffin liners is a great option for these muffins if you have them.
