I like Cortez it's nice down there and i caught a lot of big black mullet in Sarasota Bay. Good times and good memories.take care.

I live in Iowa so I can't use mullet, but...Thanks! I appreciate your instructions and I will try this on some of our local fish. I use a smoke tube too. My smoker is a cold smoker...electric...and I don't have a place to plug it in here at the apartment complex. Thus, the smoke tube. They work great. I got a short one and a long one. I made a delicious Canadian Bacon loaf in my smoker. I may try a few more different meats this year. Here's hoping. Thanks for showing this video. I think I will subscribe.😊

I grew up catching mullet and brims ,blue gills and catfish 😎 Only difference between me and Tug is the Fam fried or boiled the fish. With a side of mashed potatoes, yellow white, or brown rice, grits, fried potatoes of any shape preferably steak cut potatoes. The fish was seasoned with fresh garlic, paprika, salt or sea salt, and being from Florida we used limes not lemons or both. If you don’t have lime or lemon use vinegar 👍 and don’t forget the flour and corn meal 😎

Keep making videos and I will keep watching, as you can tell I am even watching the older ones too. God bless and good life. When I bought my new sealer I decided to use my old one for all the bait, crab bait, surf fishing, smaller shrimp it works just enough for that.

Just a heads up for when you grill . The heat will melt and disfigure that vinyl siding if you are not careful. I would pull the grill I'm using out and away from the wall. As a Handyman I've had to replace siding for this very reason , and it's not fun or easy .. Enjoy your videos especially the crabbing videos that bring back childhood memories of weekends on the Chesapeake Bay . Also , lately on several of the channels I follow I've noticed that the Closed Captioning is not available . It used to be on rare occasion , usually when the video was really new , but lately I've noticed it on videos that are a couple of days old . Those of us who are hearing impaired rely on the CC to help us follow along . My dad used to take my brother and I fishing on miss Cortez when we was teenagers and I'm 57 years old now and living in north Florida and I'm going mullet fishing with the net this week God willing. I like Cortez it's nice down there and i caught a lot of big black mullet in Sarasota Bay. Good times and good memories.take care.
I'm absolutely loving what you do! I'm 48 and I'm a true FL cracker. Both of my grandma's were born in FL. One grandpa from Tennessee and one from Louisiana. A true Cajun. Nice technique! I like the idea of adding the smoker tube since pellet smokers don't usually form a constant smoke; whereas the tube fills in during lapses in pellet grill smoke cycles.
As kids we'd bring home button wood, or red mangrove and smoke mullet, macks, and jacks. Just kosher salt brine and very coarse fresh black pepper. lite coating of veggie oil. Great show thanks for bringing back my olden days memories 1960's Space Coast Florida.

Hey buddy I like what you’ve done with the mullet here. In South Africa we make a similar method where we soak mullet in a heavy salt brine for 3 days and then hang dry. It is also a delicacy and used in cooking. Mainly eat it straight of the drying rack. It’s called Bokkoms. Would be awesome to see you make a video making it. 😁
