In Bradenton in the 1970's, we lived on a canal and could cast net for mullet right out our back yard! I'm in the Northeast now and really, really miss some good smoked mullet. ❤

Brought back great memories. I remember my dad and neighbor running a net on Bonita Beach when I was little and the reward the following day. He used an old refrigerator with the stock wire racks. That was the early 70's.

Had headphones on listening and soaking it all up, then your waterhose broke the barrier between the 3rd and 4th dimension and now I am not sure what's real anymore. Lol Jokes aside, my grandpa used to sell smoked mullet, boiled peanuts and mayhaw jelly up in Steinhatchee for many years and as a boy I loved being there with him, sampling the goods. I've never had mullet. they're pretty scarce around here . About the only way i like fish is deep fried.Although that smoked fish with that seasoning looks pretty good. I could probably get into the gizzards since the chicken gizzard is my favorite part of the chicken. We never filleted the fish growing up so we had to eat around the bones. I once made some fish jerky. Did I mention once, LoL. Talk about super concentrated fish flavor.
