    I have watched several videos on how to grill a tenderloin. They are mostly like a half hour and you need stuff like a $900 grill and a lightsaber. Your video shows what to do in a quick and entertaining way. Thanks!

    This is my obligatory fellow Oklahoman comment about the summer heat and smoking. Beer is the only drink that can quench that particular kind of thirst. Thanks for the recipe man!

    The only reason I can think of for any dislikes on this video, is the fact that you have to do it well done for your mother in law.

    Got a big one at Costco today for Christmas day. Your recipe sounds great (AND EASY)! I will be trying some (alot) of COAL PLAY on it before your Sludge is applied. BBQ All Stars pointed me to Melissa Cookston's seasoning. Going to try it. Wish me luck, my second smoke after a pork loin.

    If I remember correctly it was between 5-7 lbs before trim. You probably remove almost 2 lbs before you have the final product but you can use most of what you trim for things like stir fry or chili.

  • @HuffDaddyBBQ

    @HuffDaddyBBQ

    TheLariat I am not sure. I usually use a blend of hickory, cherry and oak but I would recommend any flavor you prefer. In my opinion, the tenderloin is more about the tenderness of the meat. It’s lack of fat content means it doesn’t have much flavor so you add those things with herbs, spices and smoke.
