Great guide. Helped a lot with varying my combos so as to not be predictable and thus less counter able. I used to just 2-3-2 to blow up squishies but that was very easy to predict after awhile and easy to time Aegis. Thank you, this will help me step up my Ao game.

On 18:17 to 18:21 where you use Blink, Ult, Water Illusion move, go around and then use Wild Storn you did 452+702+548+544 damage. If a Warrior or Guardian somehow survived you could follow with Dragon Call twice to throw them at him or Dragon Call and start hitting him with Basic Attacks. Only a miracle could save your foe. :) More than a year made but very useful to me. I started playing Smite the last 3 months.

best guides ever, incredible detail and useful stuff, after I saw this ao guide I pass from suck to 15 kills avg and 4 death avg. pretty awesome please do more.

Book of the Dead didn't work because you technically weren't actually damaging Odin. So it didn't give a shield.

Hey bro I know this is an older vid but what would be the starting items for us now?

So when you was talking about the leveling of his abilities should you pick up his ultimate when it comes available at level 5 but not level it till later or should you wait to pick up the ultimate till you build his damage a little better?

I feel like you could have said a bit more about the decisions you can make with the landing from the ult mechanic but everything else was perfect. Love the vids and I love this god.

Can you make another tier list for this or the next patch?

Isn't it better to execute while in a team fight? You can chill in the air until you have your abilities and then aoe the enemy team and do your combo again

I’ve had a diamond Ao Kuang for two years, my favorite character. My main build is follows. Pen boots. Poly. Soul Reaver, Rod of Tahuti, mantle of discord(defense). Pretty all around build depending on style

George Ledger shamans ring usually 4th item

I usually do Joust and I don't think you can get double starter items, keep in mind I also get consumables, what starter item should I get?

Btw the reason book didn't stack was because the odin bot needs to lose health for you to steal it :)

So, what are your thoughts on using Demonic Grip and Spear of the Magus to be able to burst down with auto attacks? Are tank items like Spirit Robe and Mantle of Discord not worth it if you're going for an auto attack build?

For auto attack builds Bancroft, Has ten ring, and Demonics is really good on him because you stick to players and the pen allows for hard hitting basics when your 2 isn't active. Bancroft is a must because the extra power if boxing another jungler and you are low. I don't really recommend spear of the magus but it's all preference and play style.

With his changes, is polynomicon still useful on au kuang?

Console does have the feature to check the abilities while walking they just need to pull up a little menu

Warrior Ao Kuang is a fun build. Shoes of focus, breastplate, spear of magus, hide of the urchin, obsidian shard, winged blade, then replace boots for witched blade. Its a fun build to mess around with, you can switch up the defense items depending on what you're facing.

Especially fitting considering his 2's damage is among the higher end of the game in terms of base damage.

True Otaku People are free to donate for whatever god they want to get a guide. Brandon also chooses them himself sometimes.

Idk if it still works but you used to be able to fully stack shamans ring with his execute cuz it does 9999 damage

With the 1 you can setup and ult not in execute range so someone might not beads, and the 1 puts them into it and they can't react. That's crazy

Navin Avadhani pen boots, Bancrofts, polynomicon, spear of deso/obsidian shard, shamans ring, soul reaver and then rod of tahuti. Sub in book of the dead in the very late game for bancrofts you can also get other items but you have to see the situation you are in if you are going to buy other items

I really do like the soul stone on au kuong but honestly to start im more of a fan of Boots 2 bumbas then pots for the chase down potential and to out speed everyone for the first 4 or 5 minutes

dwight macphee You will never start boots 2 on any jungler until they nerf starters because starter items are too strong right now. You get some bonus movement speed but that doesn't matter when you don't get the mana sustain and clear speed increase.

thats taken care of because by the time you would back Au kuong would gain jungle pressure and have both speed buffs and by the time your out of mana you have already Racked up about 2000 gold and maybe a kill and can get boots 3 and perhaps Tier 2 Polinomicon and your ahead. But I agree with you if you can't gain jungle pressure early on you will have to rely on that starter till you can build a lead but both are good just my opinion

dwight macphee You aren't getting a lead as ao against any jungle pick right now unless the enemy mid is a super low clear mid or maybe mercury. Your level one clear is garbage if you make a build expecting to get ahead on a late game god you need to rethink the build

Just my Style of play and my opinion no need to be angry. And you can't argue with results because whenever I play that build as Au kuang I win about 80-85% of my matches that I play as him and it is decent FOR ME and you may not dig it but its MY STYLE of play and it works FOR ME.... Jesus youtube comments hate unpopular builds

Didn't the attack speed Ao Kuang die when sprint lost the long fatalis effect? I have yet to try it but surely attack speed Ao Kuang has merit now that you can proc the 6 seconds of haste from hasten's ring with your wild storm. Just hit 3 and hold m1 whilst you unload your dragons into your target and it can be done about as often as old sprint too.

nah ability ao kuang just one shots people late game so i think its better than atk speed ao

I actually prefer the old passive then this one to be honest i play on console now cant pc since i dont have internet hooked up to it

i "removed" the ingame chat so thats not a problem at all, but mystical is not a dot and it falls off really hard in the late game and even with the damage it can be really easy to escape from the range, and by not dot i mean that is not something like bluestone or bleed from bastet

Assassins can easily deal with Ao Kuang. Most of them have much better CC, better escapes, longer jumps, longer ability range, don't have to waste a relic for blink and while they don't have his insane late game damage, they don't need it for killing him as he is very squishy.

if he does his invis he will escape any assasin that cant see him unless he goes in a straight line and when he has pen and poly only he can outtrade most assasins

His invisibility is just an escape tool, a small delay before his inevitable death as his early and mid game damage is just too low and too short. a Good assassin at least have good early and mid game damage, so he can pick single targets apart one at a time, but when it comes to late game it's all about large team fights in which squishy, low range, low CC gods are useless.

Console players do actually have an easy way to check abilities, they just cant auto run, but they can run while cheking abilties just not in the store etc

Keep in mind your mage may have Magus and your tank could have Void Stone but yeah it's interchangeable. You could get Shard. Your job is more so to Blink and shit down the throat of the enemy carries. Tanks are low priority.

If dm is moving to Japan that's really a Bad idea. If he is visiting someone or touring Japan then it's no big deal. But I hope he is not moving to Japan when Japan is really in danger by constant threats by North Korea. Even North Korean launched few missiles which went over the Japan and some fell into the sea. I hope he is not moving to Japan :( (not safe).
