Be careful of Kumbhakarna don't execute him until his passive is down he will become CC immune and Fall out of your Ultimate denying you the execute.

Has a person who is trying to learn more about gods to be a better smite player ai really enjoy and appreciate a lot the effort you put to make a guide video like this, there's a lot of people who makes "guides" but in the end it's just a gameplay they don't explain anything at all. But you here, making this kind of video there's a lot of editing and a lot of research to make a video like. So thank you for the awesome guide and keep up the good work.

These have been quite helpful for players like myself who have not played these modes of games before. Despite being familiar with multiple gods presented on your awesome guides, they offer a lot more insight and depth that have improved my game. Thank you for making these! I would be all for watching a Ganesh guide and see how to improve my guardian playing. These guides have been even more helpful since I tend to stick to Joust mode, and many of these are easily implemented. Thank you for what you do!

Ao kill is as an assassin in joust you just need a good tank and ranged to keep the other team busy.

Dont be those ao players that only use their ult to execute, use it to set up kills and/or saving other players aswell. Also, DO NOT USE YOUR 1 IN TEAMFIGHTS unless youre confident youll get a kill, otherwise, use it only as an escape. Thats why blink is almost a must on Ao

Yeah and I wouldn’t use his 1 to engage cause then you won’t have an escape unless the cookie own is done but besides that you have no escape unless there’s a kephri around to save you with his ult

Ao Kuang has one of the best starts in the game, actually. Speed, XP camp, then blue buff. Get to level 2 then see if you can gank solo; I found that Ao and Osiris are a great early team combo. Don't use your 2 before going in, as it's very loud and can alert them of the gank. Don't be cheap with your ult, and although this is something that I struggle with myself, keep in mind that his ult is a knockup if not an execute. Use it to peel or to escape or to turn fights around. If you're invading and you don't have eyes on where all the enemies are, you can use your 2 + 3 combo to quickly clear the camp. But if you're not invading or in a hurry, use your 3 only. If you want to clear faster, and I find this works best on the mana camp at level 1, use your 3 twice. If you're getting a normal start and want to gank, get your 2 right after your 3. If it's going really, really well (they have a bad jungler, for example) then at level 3 get his 3 again, his 1 at level 4. Otherwise, get his teleport at level 3. It also does a lot of damage so keep that in mind. For a great start, go Assassin's Blessing (assuming you're playing jungle) and t1 bancrofts, a mana pot and an hp pot. You never want to run out of mana pots, as Ao runs out of mana very quickly early on. After that I like to finish pen boots, Bancroft's, Demonic Grip, then after that I can build whatever I want. Telkhines is good but I tend to buy Soul Reaver, Void Stone, and Breastplate of Valor instead. This is very much dependant on the enemy team. If they have a lot of CC (or even no CC other than a single god who always hits his stuns) then I get Magi's Cloak. Hide of The Urchin can also be good. Spear of The Magus works well with his dragons, I believe. Valor gives him the CDR and some tankiness as well as mana, which he always needs. Book of The Dead is also decent on him for that extra shield. I'm not sure if Book of Thoth is good on him early on or not, though. Don't frontline with him. Ao Kuang is NOT a bruiser. He isn't like Rat or Fenrir. He's very, very squishy, not unlike He Bo. Also, if you're clearing waves then use your 1. If it's a fire wave then just dump your entire kit on them (assuming it's a big wave). But make sure nobody is nearby or you might get caught in a very bad situation, as everything will be down. For relics, you want blink rune and either aegis or beads, depending on the game. He can be very easy (and fun) to play, you just need to get a feel for him first.

Poly can still work for him but I’ve replaced it with spear of mag because it’s nice to lower their magical protection with the pen after selling boots. I usually hit 21 and 3 with ao but for a jung I level 3 2 1 maxing his 2 first then half way of 3 max out 1 finish between ult and 3.

I main Ao Kuang a lot, not really a Conquest player but I have few tips. #1 personally I prefer the boots of focus over the boots of the magi for the mana increase and the cooldown reduction it makes the early game a little bit easier to maintain since his abilities cost a significant amount of mana in proportion to his starting mana pool. Same with the soul reaver, mana is increased significantly with the lowest book so it is great for early-game. #2 Don't be afraid to use your number 1 as a damager because the enemies tend to ignore it plus it does more damage than they think or even you may think. #3 Your 2 is great for catching low health enemies before they get away use the full dragons in a single shot and lead your enemy. #4 If facing enemies with beads wait for them to proc them out of fear before using your ult or if they activated them as you used your ult use your 1 and detonate as they fall 9/10 times it will kill them. #5 When in team battles never waste an ult on a squishy, save it for the Guardians or Warriors since their health and armor is more significant. Last but not least INSTINCT, instinct is everything, the better you know your foe's kit the better prepared you are to defeat them. For example using water illusion to evade a Ymir freeze and damage him. Using your Water illusion to evade the most basic of CC's will save your CC protections for the times when you can't anticipate or get ganked. Those are my basic tips and happy hunting.

As an arena player I main Ao and I only use his 1 to sneak up on players that are by themselves and not bunched up with their team mates only because if things go wrong you can use his 1 to get out of trouble, activate his 2 and 3 together when you’re about to attack.. I build his with the fastest boots, all the rings and rod. He’s a mage assassin so don’t try to take on the whole opposition at once focus on one person at a time. And his ult is good for saving a team mate being chased from an opponent which is handy

Gods with CC immunity Ults like Anubis can also wreck your day if you’re low on hp and try to execute. I had one do it to me and Anubis melted my health away.

Ao kuang is one thing what not to do is if you ae not a jungle you dont equip your 1 for attacking keep it to escape if u are jungler you rather can try to blink and if the blink is down yes you have to equip your 1 and if u are a jungler go upgrade your 2 the dragons are so strong and go for some attack speed

Haha thank you Dragos! It's always by chance unfortunately and jungle is pretty popular :/ I suggest maybe trying jungle + mid? Since that is also a popular roll. I feel if you select fill... It kind of just gives you what everyone else doesn't want, so you may not be getting first preference that way. And what are sarts? Do you mean stars? If so, you just have to keep playing the god and you'll get a star for every 1k worshippers! :)

Why is Polynomicon excluded from Ao Kuang's suitable item pool? I started playing SMITE again some days ago, I was experimenting with builds and found Poly quite useful as it procs right after the first basic attack and deals massive damage alongside Dragon Call. Sometimes it's been a life saver since it lowered enemies' HP under my execution threshold before they could get away or before teammates managed to land them a hand. I mean, it was meant to be used with AA-based build back in S2/S3, this should be the right moment to include it into the build
