    I absolutely want to start hosting a show like tabletop, except with either fast paced or extremely long games for those who want to nerd out or quickly play ~3+ games in 40 minutes. Sadly not very popular and what friends I have don't like board games.+ I still have to plan it out and GET the board games ;(

    ThaMinecraftNetwork, you can totally do it! Maybe post on your facebook, ask friends to share, and I'm sure you'll get somewhere. I think that is an extremely fun idea. I'm in the same boat as you. I love this stuff, but I really don't A) know enough people at all to play the games I want to play and B) those people don't game anyway. Hahah Good luck though! :)

    CollegeMike Mason yeah this was bothering me too, but i actually think it's a good tweak maxing out at 4 bases. So 3 bases with 2players and 4 bases for 3-4 players. Also saves on table space. Also quickens game time and immediate player interaction. I can't really see the downside to this, but please reply if you can give me a reason (particularly a balancing issue) that makes this a bad idea.

    My biggest gripe with this game is how certain combinations just get silly if played with experienced players. As a Robot-wizard deck, I could go through almost the entire deck in a single turn, sometimes reaching uptowards 20 minutes before my turn ended as i had experience with decks like it from Magic: the gathering. Another was zombie-ninjas which synergized well, but the third player had alien-tricksters, which just didn't quite vibe and didnt really allow him to make power plays like we could, while the pirate dinos kinda just sat there :S

    Fredrick Everson I don't consider Robomages that good personnally, to be honest. Yes, mages are all about ''wishing for wishes'', it's true. But there are almost no ''wishes'' in the Robot deck, they are all minions and no spell. It's like, yeah, the mages let me play a bunch of spells, but I have no spells in my hand because Robots are all minions. My personnal favorite would be Steampunk Tricksters! You put those two together, then all your bases are belong to us! Like, literally, that's what those two together do! :p

    I know this was 9 years ago but wouldn't Cara putting a minion on the base automatically destroy the base, or does she in fact have time to play her action?

  • @StarkMaximum

    @StarkMaximum

    A base is not scored until your turn is over. If you play a minion that fills a base to its breaking point, you can still play an action before the scoring phase begins.

    Zoh mah gurr! That ending was so painful! I wanted to believe Wil could win, but it totally doesn't help that he called upon his demise at ~4:49. If only there was a way to test for an episode (or two) if there is a curse put on the soul who hosts Tabletop, or if it is simply Wil's fate to be cut down like Wheat(on) by the sickle-wielding hand of his own show. (I don't know about you, but that last bit sounded a bit forced. *nods*)

    I've never been much of a table top game enthusiast (though I enjoy playing from time to time), yet this series makes me want to stack up a whole arsenal of table top games. The best way to advertise a decent product is to actually show how good it is I suppose.

    I would just like to say (as a new viewer) this video series makes me one of the happiest nerds in the world. I have never fit in anywhere except with my cousins (who are nerds as well). But at school, I never really had anyone to relate to. Then I found this video series and realized, through the view count, that their are so many people that I may meet someday that are very similar to me. That makes me happy.
